I noticed that the Ultimate apocalypse mod uses some models and music from DoW 2 and another DoW 1 games, and my question is that Relic allows this? I mean this is not considered illegal or the distrubtion of the files or piracy? When I make a mod for Soulstorm using DoW 2 files the allow me to upload to the internet shared with other people aorund the globe? In one word, it is not illegal?

The mod is completely legal.

It would be illegal to strip large sections of another licensed game (like Dawn of War 2) and sharing it, or taking any part of a licensed game and selling it, even if it was repurposed into a mod.

Hey, thanks for the answer :) I'm a little sensitive about legal things (in everything). One more question if you don't mind, where can I read more about legal/illegal thins in mods, or in dawn of war mods?

I suppose you could read up on copyright law for the general sense, though I don't know of specific parts that deal with video game mods. When it comes to particular games, such as Dawn of War, you'd need to read the End User License Agreement for restrictions on what you can do with their software. I know you can read it during installation, but I'm not sure how or if you can access it afterward; if you really want to read it, you might have to reinstall the game.
