Hey all, I thought it would be a good idea to get a discussion rolling about how to counter heavy end game units, what your strategies are and what works best for you. Personally I am more confident with early and mid-game, due to the more small scale but equally important skirmishes. I feel as though end game I am just throwing in shit as quickly as I can, regardless of what it is (just the most expensive stuff). Thats why i wanted to ask the community what they have found to be the best counters for some of the harder end game tactics (super heavy serpent spam, eldar) What heavy unit works well against what, are there any units they give you massive trouble, like the super heavy tanks that eldar spam? If so i might be able to share my own experience and give you some advice. I personally favour Imperial Guardsmen as an army. I find personally that there super heavy tanks do not compete with the super heavy units of the game due to lackluster damage. They decimate infantry and are quite tough but they are not the 'titan counters' they are described to be.

Any who if you read that far thank you, a question to get things rolling i guess. Who do you think has the hardest end game and how do you counter them with your preferred army?

well the best way to deal with titans is to use your own against them, orks have the least durable titans (except for the gargant) but are more spammable, imperium has some of the most durable titans (reavers) and the IG have the second best anti titan (shadowsword titanica). Necrons are almost unstoppable late game unless you have more titans than they have pylons. really end game becomes a war of the worlds scenario but don't forget infantry especially necrons, eldar, Inquisition, daemons and space marines of both flavor. late game melee units are good against most range oriented titans as most can't aim at their legs so you can punch them to death.

I would like to ask what's the best way to counter the Ork's Kill Bursta and Kill Krusha? I play on Normal and everytime these two vehicles mow down my entire army while I'm not even able to scratch them.

IG Shadowsword is basically only useful if you have two of them and the enemy is not focus firing on them, the Range of a shadowsword is now less than that of most titans, meaning it cannot snipe any of them for a serious chunk of health before it dies in a firey explosion of uselessness.

Angels are effective against all Titans but the Nids and Great Gargant I believe.

Trygons seem insanely hard to kill, they can pretty much tank entire armies. Ork Squiggoth/titan swarms (yes swarms) are the most annoying things I've ever had to face. In some maps I've seen 3-4 ork titans or 8+ squiggoths on the field at the same time and my only response to that is to despair...

There is no real counter to that. Orks need a Ork resource cost increase for every unit like that (Squiggoth, Gargant, Ork Titans etc) on the field.
