Please state all possible or definite bugs that needs to be fixed in the next version, 1.73.6 or 1.74.

This thread relates to version 1.73.5, 1.73's patch only. All later versions will be posted on other threads.

Please read the FAQ before posting.

Also if you at all combined any older versions of UA mod with 1.73, that is a no - no. Please reinstall with version 1.73 as only mod version to report bugs with.

- Objective Points mod (In version 1.73)

- You DO NOT need Tyranids to run this version. But to get back Tyranids, all you need to do is navigate to your UltimateApocalypse.module file and uncomment out:

Version 1.73.5 doesn't work at all for me, i follow all the steps in the tutorial and it still fails to activate the mod I even cleaned all traces of the mod and reinstalled it fresh but i still got the same results. I reinstalled the 1.73.4 version of the mod and it worked again so there is something wrong with the 1.73.5 version.

I get a fatal scar error evrytime i try to start a game

Hi, I've only played 2 skirmish games so far with the new patch. In both games, recieve the scar error which pauses the game. If I go to menu and restart it continues, but I will see the scar error message on the screen for rest of game. Also, in the 2nd game, the game crashed. It seems that the new patch has made the game more unstable than 1.73.4, which never had issues on my end like this. I have the warnings log with the scar error and also the crash. Not sure where to attach them though for review.

For the game pause, i see a bunch of issues like this before the pause:

No AI superweapons (which doesn't mean I use it myself :p )
Titan wars (do not work properly. Still I can elevate relic points above the normal 12 by building obelisk or whatever their name is :p)

win/lose annihilate

I use the x64 exe by the way.

Checking my warning log, I notice that there is:

@leon and evlara and madhatter: For now, do not activate hardcore mode or crazy insane winconditions. They were... unfortunately slipped through the latest patch.

Figuring out other bug reports as I mod.

@sinblood: Seems like you hit the 2GB ram limit. Google 4GB ram limit for DOW, unless you got Steam?

The first bug is here and it was the old bug since long times ago

The Imperial Guard Medic often sunk to the ground and do nothing while ordered to attack, attack move or melee attack aren't effect by this bug. You can see it clearly if you fill the Colonel squad with all Medic and other them to shoot

I don't think so. I use the a modified exe to enable >2gb since a long time (long before the 'how to' moddb article). My spDx9.dll is optimized to. Did it since the post addressing those performance optimization were talked about at Relic News.
I simply suspect that this mod is pushing the game engine beyond it's limit. Afaik the game seems to handle multiple threads as it is supporting the good old Netburst Hyperthreading technology (Pentium 4 era ftw XD )...at least 2.

But this make me think it can handle more (?)

Now the critical question is how well does it do this job with our current processor :lol: It would be interesting to know what Relic have to tell about that.

All this to say that those kind of crash are not really new and specific to .75 version.

-It often happen with Tau, Eldar, Dark Eldar and Chaos (to a lesser extent). Those 4 have in common many decals fx effects, lots of fast playing (small lenght) sound files, lots of numerous packed squad units (so lots of call for pathfinding updates I guess).

-IG got less fx and less amount of fast sounds but can have huge squads=no problem

-Tyranids got some big single (?) fx but applied to vast areas, huge squads of gauntii AAAAND strangely while there are spinegaunts (without number) spam big slowdowns are back. AAAND strangely they play lots of (insanely loud) sounds

-Orks= almost fine

-SM no problem at all.

-Sista= dunno, I rarely play against them.

-Necron= no problem

Obviously, it's purely theorical, but I think you maybe should dig in that direction too. The 2GB limit issue while it makes sense, became a too easy (imho) way to explain/justify this and that.

I am getting some unit pathfinding issues and will clarify when I get the chance. So far weapon servitor squads have a tendency to run towards the southern edge of the map. I've also had a D-cannon thats part of a squad show up inside of my base with the rest of the squad somewhere else, preventing me from being able to hurt it until I got grenades (this happened very early).

Base defense restriction Fatal Scar Error.
When I play Sisters, after some 30 minutes i lost all req and energy. They didnt regen at all.

Great work on the mod mate, i'm diggin it. I hate to ask noobish questions, but how do i get the inquisition and daemons mod to work in conjuction with UA mod? Do i have to cook up a .module file? When i opened the UA .module file i came across this:

I listened to the music you put on the mod and i dig it, you think you could upload the music? Also, whenever i play against the AI on any difficulty they end up spamming me with the weakest infantry possible. Since i play against chaos most the time, they always spam renegades at me (around 15-20 squads) and they only send maybe 3-5 squads of strong infantry. Are they supposed to do that?
One last thing, will there be a game option to disable titans for AI or both humans and AI? I want to do fights with lots of relic units (mostly tanks) but the titans always kill the fun.

1.73.6 is now done. Testing...

Attempting to duplicate everyone's scenarios, dealing with crashes and fatal AI/scar errors. All winconditions in this version is fixed up and functional. We are fixing texture issues that causes crashes.

New content is on its way. Figuring out what to add...

I started to make a bunch of benchmarks since my last post. I replayed the same map (High platform) with same settings a third time. Got no crash and Soulstorm peak of ram usage reached 2.6Go. So my patched exe is functional...
I also do test to see how processor is used and it seems there are some notable disparity depending which factions/AI are involved...

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but the apocalyzed version of tartarus center (in the recommended mappack addon) has no minimap in the skirmish preview screen, and when I start a game on that map nearly half of the entire actual map is covered in what I can only describe as a pink tileset laying all across the lowest levels of said map!!! Can someone please tell me EXACTLY how big the entire map pack is? (I have a feeling that it is simply the worst bugtype of them all: Install bugs.).8)

Hi, IG turrets are bugged, when you upgrade them with missile launcher it does not work and they don't shoot.

When restored monolith shield is activated it cant be distroyed. The health just stay at 2000hp no matter how hard you are trying do demage it.
