I just wanted to say that Angron has a really cool-looking model in game but when you compare him to a Greater Brass scorpion, Great Unclean One, Keepr of Secrets, or the other Big relic unit with many legs , it just seems a bit small. He is hardly bigger than them and at the same time he has like 10 times their strength. I know that size and scale is not everything but even in the books he is described as big as a Warhound titan. I just wanted to suggest to make his model size 30% bigger. It would be much much more accurate and it will provide the necessary feeling of intensity and scale it should be providing.

Uhm... Well yes. I have to say I 100% agree with that. The only unit Angron stands out from is bloodthirsters. He is bigger than them but GUO, Keeper of secrets as you mentioned, Lord of change even , and all other units are same size as him almost ...

He should be like 40% bigger if you ask me. Melee shouldn't be a problem as a unit like the Hierophant is much bigger and has no problems in meleeing other units.

Opening daemon_primarch_angron. lua and modifying

vis_scale_min = 0.9, to vis_scale_min = 1.3,
vis_scale_max = 0.9, to vis_scale_max = 1.3,

as well as :

selection volume = 1, to 1.3
selecti to 1.3


I tried it out ingame. Looks much much better and more awesome. The nice textures on the unit are more visible too... Will be wonderful if we get it done.

No, please let's not. The collision sizes of big units are already problematic given the AI in this game, and Angron's bloodthirster unit already has massive problems moving around and targeting things. I don't think we need to make the situation worse.

Thing is there are much bigger units than him- Hierophant bio titan. And they have absolutely no problem killing stuff in melee.

Most of his attack animation is related to kicking and hitting stuff while looking down. There are so many units his size or bigger and it really seems weird to look how Angron kicks a titan which is x2 his size... I totally agree with the size increase. It's not like making him 3 times bigger... is just 30%-40% which is not that much at all.

It fits the animation better. And increasing the hitbox too will solve any problems whatsoever as dominikat pointed out.

Yes, there's bigger models. And look how awkward it is for those models to move around the game world. Some titan takes up so much physical space that it's difficult to find places to build them such that they can actually leave your base in many maps, much less move when near smaller units. While angron could avoid that due to his jumping ability, that would make him much harder to use in conjunction with any other units you have, and would make him ridiculously good at blocking enemy movement. It's not like commanders in general don't attack things in ways that look weird when you compare them to really huge units. Angron certainly looks better attacking a titan than a dreadnought does.

Basically, this is an unnecessary change that would reduce quality of life, possibly reduce framerate, and have some unintended consequences just so Angron can look a little cooler. I really don't think it's worth it personally.

And what I meant with regards to angron's bloodthirster squad is that because of their huge model sizes there's very few places they can actually fit into, and often when they're fighting you'll see some of those bloodthirsters kind of milling around stupidly trying to turn to attack things but they can't because of their collision size.

You might have a point but still... Let's leave it to the developers to decide. Also even Great Unclean One has much bigger hitbox than Angron... It's not about visual size it's about the hitbox. Angron is perfect bigger.
