(15 july) UPDATED TO 1.81.29.

NOTE : I use to mostly play imperium races along with Tau and Eldars, but play against all.



Commanders : I would change the upgrades ressource costs to 150req(with energy equivalent) per level -> same cost at the end, but more expensive at start.

Turrets : OK. (1 more radius to the buildzone they allow ?)



IDH : Dreadknight only after titan building, not shrine anymore -> make the player think about either upgrade units or produce better units

Deamons : OK.

Tyranids : OK. (nerf AI pls xD)

Space Marines : OK.

Chaos Space Marines : needs a high level spells nerf -> win button spells.

Orks : OK.

Tau : vehicules needs defense buff or defense upgrade -> their cost/efficiency is killed by their durability.

Eldar : HQ squads buff, commanders power and/or stats buff -> guardians are useless, commanders performs less then other races one.

Dark Eldar : OK.

IG : more assassin nerf -> still spam them to 10.

Necrons : nerf their late game somehow. potentially balanced by early game buff.

SOB : OK.



Tell me what you think, what could work, and what couldn't work. What should be added for more balance.

I'll do some update as comments and patches come.

The mother F'ing AI I swear half the time i hate the AI in UA why in the seven hells does the AI nuke you when a enemy force is in their base wrecking their shit,

on multiple occasions i would either be nuked by an ai player that is getting killed by another player in a ffa or if not nukes the AI knows where everything is on the map, dark eldar will constantly use that soul bombard ability or space marines would spam orbital bombardment from deepstrike becons they can do this constantly back to back your base is basically being nuked as its saturated with orbital bombardments as if there was 787 force commanders in your base using that ability all at once same with tau they spam build those ion cannons and they win the game because you cant do anything everything is constantly being shot by the ion strike every 2 seconds

Choas space marines f*cking not fine. it lacks a lot compared to the Space Marine. And Compared with the Ultimate Apocalypse, Though much weakened, as abandoned to the staffs

If i remember correctly someone mentioned that it is just the way Dawn of War AI works and there was no way for modders to fix who they target with nukes.

I agree totally, something has gone terribly wrong since patch 1.8.1, reducing both armor AND damage of ALL space marine units as stated in the changelog rendered me unable to beat harder AI and I find it very hard to counter real players online, I'm lost since CSM is my favourite faction :(

Feel like something has got to be done about the SM endgame...the reaver titan doesn't feel like the "marine" endgame. It feels borrowed from the Imperial Guard; out of place. I wish there was some kind of endgame device that would help the SM stay competitive and would fit their theme of powerful/sturdy infantry based combat.

I used the corsix mod tool to give the SM faction a shrine of the emperor in my version. I have to say, it helped IMMENSELY. I can actually pull off super endgame steel rain maneuvers without guaranteeing an army wipe. I can't play with other people, and multiple shrines is absolutely OP. I try to limit the number I allow myself to build to preserve difficulty. But they allow me to transform the most elite infantry and vehicles I have into titan equivalents (when taken together) in the lategame...(I just don't build titans with SM.)

Not a perfect solution, by any means, but it works well enough for me in comp stomps.

BIG thank you for this! I especially encourage that fine detail. :) Chances for next version? Probably not as the patch is almost done and almost ready to ship, but this thread is noted.
