A very fun and Apocalyptic type mini mod consisting the Apocalypse creator's best SCAR work EVAR. Created by the Cylarne with no help from anyone but Corsix's Mod Studio, the Zombie Apocalypse for Dawn of War is 100% possible and finished. Do you want to just spend some time killing zombies? Do you want to just get in there and avoid getting bitten without turning to zombie brains? Well here you go! Zombie Apocalypse 0.51, try it today! How to install: Extract all files to your Dawn of War directory, open the mod in Game Manager, play Zombie Apocalypse. Notes: We are attempting to find/create an actual looking zombie for this mini mod. This is also not multiplayer yet as the scar added to the mod causes lots of sync errors. Like said in the description, this is a mini mod featuring a simulation of the Zombie Apocalypse in Dawn of War coded in SCAR scripts that transforms the entire battle area into a Zombie infested suicide zone.

This is a Zombie Apocalypse mod which I hope to officially re-introduce into the Ultimate Apocalypse mod as a selectable wincondition. This mini mod is basically the core part of it and now that it is complete, I can start doing the easy stuff, if it works, I hope and transport this to Ultimate Apocalypse if the audience agrees.

This is the first release, and I hope to see some suggestions or opinions coming from this mini mod by people playing it. If they don't like something, well I get feedback and it gets better as time goes on :D.

well THB is nearly done so what about in the next grand release of UA use it both as a wincondition and maybe as a campaign mission.
The scenario being your commander is cut of from the rest of the army and has to reach a beacon then send out a distress signal, survive wave after wave until reinforcements arrive then hold off the zombies while trying to kill the great unclean one to finally bring an end the hoard. :)

Does this work for multiplayer because I had a lan party and everyone one got kicked from my game, and on their screens it said data-sync error, so I'm assuming you made this for single player.
By the way this is really fun.

DOW is a biotch when it comes down to playing multiplayer with scar. SCAR is multiplayer hatred unless it is passive, but in this case the code is not passive (No looping commands).

I love this mod as I liked the idea of zombie apocalypse using flayed ones and having an epic last stand moment. only way I could think of it being more fun is if there was a alternative win condition that you don't have to protect civilians, faster reinforcement rate and possibly weapon upgrades. whats better then a line of bolter fire?...a line of HEAVY bolter fire.

I suggest retextureing the zombies to a more apocalapse themed zombie.
not a flayed one it looks weird. also zombies should be more numerous and less powerful.

Hmm... ok. Yeah Flayed Ones are just placeholders, I hope to get some actual ZOMBIES if that will ever happen. Would you care to post this in the reviews section of the vote? I like to see who voted what perhaps and I can't access it with no reviews posted.

How numerous do you think the Zombies should be? Define numerous. I can increase the amount of Zombies and decrease their health if that is what you mean?

Then when I mean there should be more zombies I meant that there should be alot more but you should increase the AI because the zombies just sit there waiting for me to kill them .

You should make more fast zombies fewer slow ones (the slow ones have 4X health though)

Also get a way for survivors to get more of their troops. for instance there is scattered troops that you will need to recover with your commander and you cannot use them until the commander is in close proximity with them.

There is no AI but I see what you mean.

I like the idea of fewer fast Zombies however, what do you mean slower zombies have 4x as much health???

Last request seems reasonable.

okay i bumped it up to 9.0 and not exacly 4X health but they are a bit tougher to kill than faster zombies, and the when i play, i go to their spawnzone and just kill them there but when a huge wave comes my troops book it.

Canonically makes sense Wh40k.lexicanum.com, perhaps re-textured guardsmen? Or re-texture some of the civilian models in the game? Along with some nurgle demons, would be not only canonical, but add some diversity with zombies.

pretty cool mini mod although very hard the zombies(flayed ones) when shot they just run towards u lol making it hard just taking out 1 of them with 2 soldiers..... suggesting u lower their health or making them a little b it slower even though they are slowe lol....non the less love it.

good mod thanks a lot!! it crashed 1 time with the orcs, suggestion maybe different weapons to choose from or a few close combat warriors if they come to close, and yes this is great this belongs in ultimate apocalypse.

you can use Nurgle plague zombies and co.instead of the flayed guys.
For example
1.Plague zombie-week and slow.Attaks in 50 unit squads "hords"
2.Plague marines-medium speed and powerful.Attack in small packs
3.Plague terminators-slow and powerfull.Attack in small squads of 4
4.Plague Dreadnougts-super slow juggernouts.Attack alone.
5.Plague bearers-medim speed medium power.Large squads
6.Plague hulks...no comment...
7.Great Unclean Ones...oh nurgle...
Also there are SEVEN punkts.And 7 is the NUMBER OF NURGLE...

Hey guys, awesome work with the mod! I just wanted to add some of my suggestions for updates, as it is still in Beta (0.6):

Zombie RACE:
While I was playing I thought to myself, hey, what if *I* could play as the zombies? And from that I started to speculate on how it could be added on to the official "Ultimate Apocalypse" Version of Soulstorm (It's an Idea, right?)

Survivor Options:
While playing the mod, I found it somewhat awkward as I tried to travel across the map to capture points (Under Control Area Victory Condition) because I only received 2 starting Marines with the Force Commander, +1 every 3 minutes. I can't imagine how hard it would be to change the whole UI for Multiplayer/Skirmish, but it would be a nice feature, as things like this were never addressed in the original DOW games (How much points for Control Area/Resources for Economic Victory/etc).

Objectives/Campaign:
Putting Zombies into a game like Dawn of War means there are lots of different scenario's that could be made, right? Things like, say, "Save groups of Survivors", "Gather Supplies", "protect the base/safehouse/fortress", etc etc, and in doing so, a custom Campaign could be made, with or without recycling voice snaps already used in the games (like already when Boreale shouts: "The old enemy approaches!" or "The Green tide rises!"

There is alot more I want to add but really these are the only 3 important ones,

hi every one. im a little noob at this and i can't install the game.I extract it to my game dictionary but it doesn't show up in my mod dictionary. Im i doing something wrong? is someone else having the same problem? help plz.

Something REALLY fresh.

And some little ideas:

Survivors:
-Make them able to upgrade weapon (especially SM).Idea is really good,it just needs some things like this to make it even more interesting.It will be really funny.Of course,Player should be able to upgrade f.e. one marine for 50 killed zombies,or crates found on map.
-Maybe You could make other reinforcement option:finding survivors on map.Just always surrounded by 3-7 zombies,to make it slightly difficult to save them.
-More options,like defend the base or kill the alpha.Yes,KtA is already in-game,but i think of something that will not have civillians,just some infiltrated spies,unable to attack (f.e. 2),some marines,and time limit.

Zombies:
-Maybe individual zombie unit?With own model and texture or sth.
-Playable?
-Affeted by negative & heavy cover.If they already are,it just seems that they're not (maybe too fast?).

General
-Dedicated maps (three is really enough,or even too much).
-REAL zombie apocalypse,with some civilian building to defend,ans more soldiers under player's command.Of course,with tons of zombies.And even more alphas.

That's all.I hope You will at least read it,even if You won't add it to mod.

This mod is AWESOME. But you should put some new stuff in. Like weapon upgrades, or you could buy some equipment of some strogner troops (ranged ones) like for the IG you could buy kasrkin for 200 kills or something like that. And give the same to other races. And TONS, and I mean TONS of zombies. So that is heavy to defend against zombies.

- Put "heavy zombie" that has greater health but reduced speed.

And thumbs up for this mod, I am looking foward to see the next
