Twisted Insurrection is a critically acclaimed, standalone modification based on the Command & Conquer™ Tiberian Sun™ engine. It features a complete redesign of the original game, set in an alternate "what-if?" timeline where the Brotherhood of Nod was victorious during the first Tiberian War. Do you have what it takes to drag the shattered Global Defense Initiative out of ruin? Or will you crush all who oppose the will of Kane and his Inner Circle? The choice is yours commander.
Being unfamiliar with the battlefield can be a severe disadvantage. To ease the handicap for inexperienced players, all map previews will now have small icons indicating key map objects like Tech structures and renewable Tiberium sources.

Did I understand correctly that the little icons that denote key objects can now be captured on the map?
That's right, as well as Tiberium hazard symbols where there's a replenishing source of Tiberium.
Great, I'm very glad to hear that))
In "Dawn of the Tiberium Age" this was sorely lacking. The buildings there were on the maps, and they could not be captured. What a shame.
Those buildings are ruins. =P Capturable oil derricks are marked on the map in DTA.
Using these icons to show replenishing resource fields in addition to just capturable structures is neat!
Captured oil rigs are certainly good for finances, no doubt, but for me this is not enough. And the ruins, which, if properly, could be restored and used for their own purposes for a strategic advantage over the enemy (if there was such an opportunity, but it was not). And these are the buildings of equipment factories/Ore, barracks, ore/tiberium storage and other auxiliary buildings that engineers can capture.
I personally really liked this tactic, still modern C&C3;, and still like to use it in the Yuri's Revenge and Tiberian Sun mods. ;)
There are also capturable buildings on many maps, but they are separate. Ruins, however, are just decoration. They're not intended to be capturable and would mess with map balance if they were.
What nonsense, if that were the case, then there would be a wild imbalance on the maps in Mental Omega and other Yuri's Revenge / Tiberian Sun mods (where there are buildings to capture).
However, it is not, at least Mental Omega - I did not see it because of this.
