TWHL Tower 2 is the follow-up to the collaborative mod TWHL Tower from 2016. A group of regulars at The Whole Half-Life site created a map (or 2, or 3!) that make up the floors in this tower. Each floor has a very small footprint but each has its own unique style, for you to fight/puzzle/sneak through on your way down from the roof. Reach the ground floor and finally escape!

TWHL Tower 2 takes everything that the first mod laid out and dials it up to eleven. More floors, more action, more puzzles, more insane Spirit entity wizardry.

Overall, this was an absolute blast to play through and a joy to have been an active part of. Stunning work by everyone involved and a huge and hearty thank you to Strider for taking on the project, as well as Penguinboy and Unq for picking things up when Strider had to step away.

Mixed bag, some maps are truly great, like the Abridged version of Half-Life's earth levels, or Urby's map/s, most are decent, but some aren't really that good, for example the Kingpin map (no offense) or the horror-themed maps like apartment and penitentiary, as they are ultimately anticlimactic. At least a jumpscare would suffice for an ending, but instead they just let you leave at some point with not much of a resolution. Still nice job, congrats to all the mappers, it's a nice and slightly nostalgic trip considering how it's been years since the first one already.

It's everything that you could want from a Half-Life mod. Levels with suspense, comedy, horror, puzzle-solving, it's like the entire Half-Life mods section rolled up into a single experience!

Conceptually fantastic, there's some real gems here that on their own easily warrant a 10, but there's also an abundance of rooms that don't do much more than have you find a keycard/do the same old HL1-style combat in uninspired environments.

The highs are high enough that it can be easy to forget the lows, but the lows are low enough that it's hard to want to do full repeat plays.

This mod is a gift for HL fans. Having in 2020 this amount of maps, creativy and variety, puzzles... all made with love. At times I feel like it was a packed summary of all the half-life mods (Half-Pint is actually the core of that idea). Thanks to all people that have work on this and especially to those who have been in charge of bringing everything together and making it work. This brings joy

Most of the maps were very fun to play, somehow both subverting expectations and providing the special quality that Half-Life is all about. The second-to-last map and credits map crashed from no free edicts, though. (on HL 1.1.1.0). Overall, can't recommend enough.

A wonderful collection of ideas and fun concepts. I love risk taking maps. It felt like a condensed nostalgic trip over the history of Half-Life modding. Some maps made me laugh out loud, some made my head spin with the complexity involved in such a small space. I love collaborations like this. I feel gutted I did not consider joining in!

This is a perfect tower mod. Its got alot of different "floors" its quite short, and its got a few highlights. Its so impressive, the quality of the maps is through the roof and even complexity I've ever seen in a HL mod.

Great maps, various gameplay. Only some shortcomings do not allow me to put 10.

I left a review on TWHL. Just read it there. Twhl.info
