Tiberian Sun Rising is a total conversion for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars! Tiberian Sun Rising brings back GDI and Nod battling it out during the Second Tiberium War, retelling Tiberian Sun as never before. This isn't just a remake of the hit title C&C Tiberian Sun. It is a mod making Tiberian Sun as it should have been originally so expecting lots of new fun and originality while sticking to the feel Tiberian Sun had. Taking the mindset that this is the first time Tiberian Sun is being made and using the original game as a design concept. This mod will also include the additions made in Firestorm so it is a remake of Tiberian Sun and Firestorm as one to what they should have been.New abilities and units will appear in Tiberian Sun Rising as well as new kind of gameplay altogether.

I the last one but in my opinion you should go with something lighter, something that is easy to deploy in a warzone, this building looks far too complex. Maybe a mobile refinary? Anyways, more aluminium and ****.

Nod's downside in Tiberian Sun was yes they do have Advanced Technology, but almost all of it takes up more space then GDI's Structures. With Nods Tiberium Refinery this rule of thumb continues on. Also consider the fact that Nod has the most advanced methods for Refining Tiberium.

No they don't, they have the same refining methods as GDI. Kane and his Brotherhood of Nod sold the refining methods to companies and the UN before the events of TD. (I think it was stated in the TD manual)

And the only buildings that take up more space than GDI's are the Temple of Nod and the Hand of Nod. The Hand of Nod isn't exactly high-tech, it's just very fancily designed. The Temple of Nod is both. A Refinery shouldn't be exactly fancy-looking. Though perhaps having it take space is good, as it is a refinery after all.

Though I agree that Nod has higher tech (lasers, PLASMA weapons, cyborgs, stealth generating fields (compared to the Stealth Tank, which can be done IRL today) and so on). Hover Tech doesn't seem very high tech because it's just jets, not anti-gravity like in KW, and Railguns aren't used alot yet in GDI's forces. Plus, Ion Cannon was present since TD and it's limited to the same orbital satellite from TD. And mechs are not that high tech either.

Nod pioneered Tiberium harvesting methods, yes GDI and Civilian companys got that technology in TD in 1995. This is Tiberian Sun in 2030, Nod has made many advances in Tiberium weapons & Tiberium Harvesting & Refinement which it has kept to itself. *although both sides harvest the same amount of money for balancing of course*.Nod Advanced Powerplants are bigger then GDI's Upgraded Powerplant also btw.

How about combining the weed-refinary with the tiberium refinary?

use the weed-refinary as tiberium refinary and then make an upgrade that make the refinary work with weed aswell.

Hey, I actually like this idea, and it'd be doable in TW, unlike in TS.

I've got something special in mind for the Waste Facility in terms of design, so it will remain separate.

Number 5 looks too much like the Temple, this look is quite different compared to the TibSun Temple. See that Seed/Oval Pod thingy? Thats the Harvesters Tiberium containment capsule it carrys and fills when it harvests, thats where it docks and drops its load off.

Meh...The original TS Refinery was actually supposed to be a Nod Refinery, not a GDI Refinery (that's why it had brown all over it, and not beige or brown like other GDI buildings), but it turned out to be the refinery for both factions. Same for the Silo...Except they had made a 2nd design for Nod, which was pyramid-shaped.

There's even a concept floating around on the TS CNC-Source gallery of the TS GDI Refinery.

Nod Refinery:
Cnc-source.com

Clearly says "Nod Refinery". That means the current TS Refinery was meant to be a Nod Refinery, and the current silo, since it follows the design of the same Refinery, has to have been meant for Nod, too.

Another Refinery concept (Probably GDI):

Tiberium Silo (Probably GDI):

BTW, when I wrote "that's why it had brown all over it, and not beige or brown like other GDI buildings", that first "brown" is meant to be "grey" instead, as all TS Nod buildings are grey, and the refinery itself is grey in-game.

Oh, and the TS ConYard, being full remap, was meant for GDI (especially if you take a look at it, it doesn't look specifically fancy).

Whats written on the ccncepts isnt the word of God you know, keep in mind the Concept Artist writes the titles on the Concepts. Westwood felt this Refinery was good for both factions, my opinion was it is a GDI Structure.

The alternate design you linked too was considered for Nod but we decided to go with something new.

5 looked too similair to the Temple of Nod infact it outclass'd it in coolness factor. The Temple of Nod should be the most awe inspiring structure on the battlefield. This Refinery incorporates elements from every design, and once you see it modeled & textured I'm sure you'll change your mind ;).

These designs are really well detailed and reflect style of Nod well. However i think u should try keep most structures to their orginal design because theres no need to change what already looks fine not impleying your work is not good in my opinion it is brilliant but its good to keep alive some of the orginal things of tiberian sun people know and love. However if you are going to use the new designs for tib refinery, number 5 has got my vote. keep up awesome work :)

The only original item's we are replacing, are ones that are shared on both factions. Some Units/Structures are only on GDI/Nod instead of being on both, and things like Conyard/Refinery that are shared, look and function differently. We want GDI and Nod to be completely unique so that is why the Nod Conyard, MCV, Refinery and Harvester have all been replaced with new designs.

The default Refinary in TS is nods design

GDI's design should have been based off this concept
Cnc-source.com

I'm not a fan of this new one, simply because its not TS and looks like something from C&C3 and certainly doesnt look like a working 'Refinary'
