"War... War never changes. The reasons why we fight these wars remain much the same; some are fought to conquer, for religious and ideological beliefs, other wars are fought over gold, oil, spices – natural resources and money. Power is the key element. This war is no different - except there's nothing natural about Tiberium. The year is 1995 and we have just begun to open up our eyes to view a brave new future, some will come to say it's a horrific future. It is the Dawn of the Tiberian future." --- Tiberian Dawn is a total-conversion for the game Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars. Our goal is to bring C&C1;to a new engine, with enhanced features and graphics while also bringing back much of the classic style of gameplay while not taking steps back from what C&C3;implemented in the series as gameplay features. This is not of course our only goal - the idea of the total-conversion was inspired by an art piece by Godwin that showed the cruelty and bitter humanity of...

it should be damageable from inside its bunker to, as the mission (i don't remember whether it is covert missions or not) but you use grenadiers to destroy the samsites, inside the bunkers... yeah i don't make much sense but you should get it

Its just heavy armor when closed, light (or something like that) armor when open. fairly simple :)

Love the design. How about making the Turret shootable?
So when it comes out you can shoot the turret, but the base is still there (damaged of course).
Then NOD could rebuild the turret for less money, but the GDI would be able to destroy the turrets easier if they use orcas.. just an Idea.
I mean why should the base be weaker if the turrets out? :-)

As for why the base should be weaker when the turret is out, simple... the sealing plates are the structure's main armor. The elevator on which the launcher is standing isn't armored at all, so if that launcher's blown up, be sure it'll leave a nice crater in that elevator too. There will be nothing left to rebuild a gun on.

Description

The Surface-to Air Missile Site is an advanced air defense structure unique to the Brotherhood of Nod. Typically guarded by a heavy-grade steel armor, the SAM Site becomes vulnerable when it exits its bunker. This model was built by Ric.
