Good work man, i like the ion cannon effects and the predator is looking suitably futuresqe.

The effect is beautiful, and I like the effect the shaders have on the model.
You have a nice ion beam effect going there. Just make sure you make a proper impact effect for where the beam contacts the ground and when it contacts an enemy unit.
Look at them. They are like baby CnC4 Refractors with their little ion beams.

Is this vehicle driven by infantry or is it a "drone"? (Size is pretty small compared to the other infantry, though I find it fitting somehow...)
It's manned, by a driver and a commander/gunner. However, Infantry is pretty big in CnC3, not as much as in RA3 or ZH, but still big.
yeah...this tanks way too small..you can scale-up tanks or scale-down infantry
It's bigger than the default CnC3 Predator.

Less than half of GDI's units have ion cannons.

and it would be cool, and unessesary, if u could hav the same effect as the large ion cannon where the lasers move inwards then it fires :D
The Mammoth tank, Titan, Commando, Zonetrooper, Railgun defense, all can be upgraded with Railguns. Except the commando, he has one by default.
And no, Ion Cannons ain't replacing Railguns.

Nope, that would require me to re-do all the animations.
You already can't see much detail on them, and it's a tad hard to make out the differences between each infantry type, making them all smaller would only make it worse. The size is fine as it is.

They already have Railguns. And Railguns are more powerful than Coilguns.
