hey hey i tried this out, and what there to hate? i would recommend to all. I fought Eriador and treants randomly showed up and wrecked my cavalry ( O.o you will be missed victims of new and badass infantry )

Yes this is the "Real One", and I hope you didnt get the beta because it was ment for "Beta Tests" if you did you will probly have to uninstall everything and reinstall the entire mod, because it will probly not play right if you have the beta still in it...

they said in the description on their forum that this patch fixes the error of the system destroying factions FOR NO REASON. Well, it doesn't! In my 40 turn the fuckeen Eriador is destroyed with like 7 settlements and the capital left and they all become bandit. I mean, wtf ?! Don't say the problem is fixed, 'cuz IT IS NOT ! ...and fix it, suckers, cuz this is just lame, alright...

A fraction will still die if the Fraction Leader & the Fraction Heir gets killed that is what probly happened, there is no need to bash ppl, these guy have giving you a game that is for FREE and put in over 2 years worth of work into it, so if you dont like it then dont play it, plan and simple....
well, i didn't mean like that so sry to the makers and to all that were offended. I thought there was a catch like that but after recent events I was forced to believe otherwise. 3 turns after the Eriador was destroyed, Rohan was destroyed. There was no crusade on their settlements or anything and if i load a game few turns before this happend, it doesn't change but as the game is flexible, it should so that makes me wonder if there is something wrong with the script or did i stepped on a landmine ;).
how do i put the actual thing on my game
Just double-click on the exe. file and it should start "It will ask you were to put it, but thats all"...
I installed all the patches correctly and everything works fine except for when I want to do a siege on Custom Battle in Singleplayer. When I click on a level (Town, Castle, Citadel, ect.) It closes the program and said that Medieval II has encountered a problem and needs to close. Any ideas wth is going on?
P.S. Sieges work fine on the campaign.
Go here and ask to see if they can help you Twcenter.net I know they can because someone had the same problem a while back and KK walked him though how to fix it, I would help but I havent had that problem so I wouldnt know what to do....

I'd just like to thank the makers of thise pearl of an addon. you've done a great job. i'm on my 280s round playing the high elves and it still rocks. incredible its just a fan made addon. feels way more like a stand-alone game made by one of the big gameproducers.

i installd 1.1 and 1.2 and when i try 2 play it says a unexpeted error has happend????? any help
hey i there i saw pics of the nazgul in this but wen i patched it to 1.2 there arent any nazguls anyone now why?and also it wont let me play multiplayer it just says incorect cd key.
@ crankdatank - Try to uninstall everthing including M2TW and Kindgdoms and then reinstall by following these instuctions Twcenter.net then see if it works.
@ Prince|of|Venice - Go here Twcenter.net and ask the same question, I thought I saw someone with the same problem and they fixed it, but these guys are pretty cool and often help out, if you don't get a quick response just p.m King Kong on that sight..

what is fixed up exactly? Can you give a list of new stuff in this patch?
go to twcenter.net then press TWC modding portal at the top go to medieval II: TW series mods and from the drop down go to kingdoms then find third age close to the bottom (this is also were you can get help for all other questions} and go to the post "Third Age - Total War 1.2 Released!" after a description it will say change log 1.1 and 1.2 click show after the spoilers for either and theres the fixes/changes :D (srry for long description and no link im new and it wont allow links for seven days D: ).
its one of this mods is it, the one that looks amazing but doesnt actually work :/

Hey Guys, I need Help I just downloaded the Third age Total war on my pc both pachs 1.1 and 1.2, I already have Medievel Total war 2, and don't know what to do next, if anyone could just walk me through step by step on how to start this game.

Guys all you have to do is is make sure you have Medieval 2 Total War and the Expantion Kingdoms and follow these instructions when installing..
Just follow this
1 : Install Medieval 2 Total War update to latest patch. {which is the 1.3}
2 : Install Kingdoms " just one campaign is needed" make sure it is the 1.5 if not update to the 1.5
3 : Install The Third Age part 1 & part 2 to in Medieval 2 Total War main directory will look something like this 'Programs/SEGA/Medieval II Total War'
4 : Install The Third Age Patch 1.1 in same directory as the mod.
5 : Install The Third Age Patch 1.2 in same directory as the mod.
6 : Install The Third Age Patch 1.3 in same directory as the mod.
7 : Play game by hitting desktop icon "looks like the Ring"

can someone please help me? i'm a great fan of lord of the rings and the total war series, so this mod should be perfect for me, but when i open patch 1.2 i get a box saying: this file contains invalid data. halp pl0x. anyways great mod, it's almost better than the original game.
You must have gottin a bad download just try and download it again and you should a working file if not just ask for help here Twcenter.net

I'm also getting the "invalid data" error, and I have downloaded and redownloaded a total of three times. I expect the uploaded installer has become corrupted somehow.
I gonna tell you Legolose,there's MANY problems in my game.
I have medieval 2 total war patch 1.3.Have Kingdoms too in patch 1.5.I put the crack cuz i lost the cds,i play normally M2TW and M2TWK too.
I download the game TATW,installed patch 1.1 and 1.3,i cant download patch
1.2 so i think that i dont need it.In custom battle my forces cant pass 5 battalions or the game crashes.I can only play siege in fort.I cant play campaing cuz the game crashes,in siege the game always crash,it dont crash only when i click fort.Or i am the most no-lucky guy or this game just wasted my time.Can you resolve ALL these problems?

Haroldo Brasi, you do need patch 1.2, that's the problem. To uninstall, I'm pretty sure you can do it in control panel, probably the second part on control panel (and the rest just delete the files in your folder)
Just registered and posted to say, downloaded 1.2 patch and received the 'Invalid data' error. Downloaded 6 times, every time the download was failed. I suggest trying irregular download times. It worked for me on try 6.
i also keep getting the invalid data error......... tried jaffaman's advice but i am on my 10th go so far.... :( any othe way??
How come each time I download Third Age Total War 1.1 Patch and Third Age Total War 1.2 Patch it keeps downloading too around 200 mb (about an hour wait for me) and then ends there, instead of downloading all the way. I even tried to still install the patches and when I did it came up "Invalid".... Thanks for all the help and patience.
