Cool as always.

Now I haven't mapped for a real long time in gldscr but it seems a bit empty near the stairs. Dunno remember wich decals were included in the gldscr's files but maybe those decals wouldn't fit, I dont know. Maybe I'm thinking in a very Source way. Some crates maybe...?

Nice to see your making basic corridors look interesting. I'm actually in the process of making a video guide regarding that. :)

One thing I will say is try and move the textures around on those stairs. You can see the texture repeating a lot.

(EDIT: Correct me if I'm wrong, but you are running the WON version of Half-Life)

Yep, using WON, and at the last second when the mod is done I'll port the game to the steam version (I've heard it's only a few files)

Basically yeah, its only a couple of files. I ported The Core over to Steam fairly early on. I'm not sure why WON's 32-bit (apparently) graphics settings went so crappy but yeah, like at the bottom of this image the textures and lighting looked pretty nasty.

I'm with "Urbanebula" on the textures suggestion. Also (or) simply adding a bit of definition between the the joining point of the steps and floor in whatever way suits you, would do wonders ( even some shadow or alternate texture perhaps ? ) to accent the stairway and offer some greater depth, IMHO. Liking the lighting by the way. Well done !
