You guys should have been on the original game creation team.... then there would not have been reason to use mods. (You are completing the work they should have done)
I don't understand why any Hobbit-based game, or Middle-Earth game weren't created when the Hobbit movies came out. There was only the LEGO Hobbit game, and few mobile applications. Fortunately there is a team who create this awesome mod.
Mobile was where the money was at.
The worst problem in the games is the monetization and their founder's company. They do a lot of cuts on the games, Why create a perfect game if you can launch a sequence with more features? See the BFME series.
The BFME series won't be remade. It's abandonware and no one is going to go and make a new LOTR RTS IP. There's also little money to be made in making RTS games anymore so thats why we haven't, nor will we, see a new LOTR/Hobbit game anytime soon.
Sad, but true.
Fortunately, I have found this team, so i don't have to worry about a new LOTR RTS for the next 20 years or so. :)
Finally, the time of Erebor is coming :)
When the three main good guys are in this mod I will be a happy camper!

If the AotR team was the original team that worked for EA in BFME series. We probaly had never played a hobbit content or anything good we see on this mod, due to trade politics, EA standards,director's cuts, monetization and limits. (please if my english is wrong correct-me)
