You are Charles Longden, an archaeologist studying Minneburg, a German castle abandoned due to recent cave-ins. You are sleeping late one morning when you are shaken awake by a tremor running through the castle. There is no sign of your partner, Jane. Where has she gone?

The answer lies only in the depths of Minneburg.

So with the release of Machine for Pigs, I'm pleased to announce that I've begun work on a new custom story! In Amnesia: A Coward's Debt, you take the role of Jean, who searches his home for answers. Unlike The Great Work, which contains in excess of thirty maps, this story contains only one large, detailed map.

I will be using assets from The Dark Descent, Justine, and Machine for Pigs, and there will be another brand new custom enemy. Justine and Machine for Pigs will not be required in order to play this Custom Story.

Please head over to its ModDB page to watch for updates!

I have a question, is all of the new stuffs is copyrighted? Like if we make our own custom stories, can we use them?

It is a very well-made custom story in which undoubtely a LOT of effort was put. However, some parts left me scrathing my head.

For example, at the point where the cultist picks up the orb piece and then leaves to unlock a room for you to enter inside, at first it unlocked a very strange room with red lighting where I was supposed to climb up to the top by clicking the chains. Having arrived there, I found nothing of importance (there was no way to progress). I then decided to load a previous save file, and this time the same cultist unlocked a different room where there was a bridge that was lowered down by the lever mechanism.

Very nice custom story, but it did blow my head in quite many parts of it.

Intelligencers remind me of SCP-049. Which does NOT do well on my sanity.

The Great Work is an amazing custom story and me and my friend loved it from start to finish. Awesome new monsters, chilling atmosphere, brilliant story with quality voice acting. It's clear a lot of effort went into this, and it's the best CS I've played.

Just one issue: we had the same glitch at the end where when destroying the pillar, the orb keeps dropping onto an inaccessible ledge. I couldn't find a solution either. As such, we couldn't actually finish the game, which is so annoying just at the very end! Other than that, it was perfect.

I used to have this bug too, but there was a way to fix it. Sadly, I don't really remember how I did this, but I think it was something involving you getting out of the Orb area and then re-entering there, or something.

If this doesn't work, picking off from a different save file is always another solution, though I understand how that could be frustrating.

It's a freaking masterpiece! I beta test all the chapters and I was speechless when I reach the end. It's damn long as it should be, interesting, entertaining, really scary, atmosphere is top-notch! I have nothing bad to say about this one.

Everyone should try it and love it right away! One of the best Amnesia Custom Stories easily!
