The Great War is a modification for Company of Heroes meant to bring the war two decades earlier. This mod focuses on the later years of the First World War. Currently the two teams will be the British Expeditionary Force against the German Empire, however with time the team will try and bring some more nations in, such as France and Austria-Hungary. This mod will focus or realism but keep the game balanced enough to make it enjoyable. Things to look for in the mod are the famous artillery strikes and the infamous gas attacks. Trenches will provide vital cover for infantry while tanks will roll over the battlefield and instil fear into the enemy troops.

We have no such plan right now. Differences between uniforms worn by the various German states were pretty minor once field-gray was introduced.

Won’t happen either. Wartime shortages and adaptations means the prewar differences in uniforms of the various ethnical units had given way to a pretty standardised field-gray uniform and helmet from 1916 on. By 1918 there was pretty much nothing to distinguish an Austro-Hungarian infantryman in combat from another, apart from the narrow coloured stripe on the collar.
So no, it’s going to be one universal model for everyone.

The Gordon Highlanders would have been my prime choice too. However I decided to go for a generic tartan in the governmental colours, not one used by any past or existing kilt-wearing unit.

I can understand that. Won't really matter much anyway since they are wearing kilt covers. Covers up everything but a little tartan on one side.

Excellent units! This is actually my most anticipated CoH mod. Will American units be featured in the game (eventually)? And if so, will they be attached to the British or the French army?
