i think this room is poorly lit for holding something so awesome and pivotal to the story. unless some better lighting tuns on later in the map, you should make this room well-lit. brushwork and prop placement look great.

the reason it is so dark is for when the gate process comes on the light comes on effects etc look better when contrasted to a darkroom it makes the overall effect greater.. hope that makes sense..
