Battlefront Project adds tons of your favorite weapons and playable units to the battlefront from Star Wars Cannon. The redone weapons and units make this game much more intense.
The new side layout includes 9 basic types of units:

1. Medic
- Carbine/Auto; Carbine/Semi; Pistol; Thermal Det; Bacta Gun

2. Assault
- Rifle/Semi; Rifle/Burst; Blaster; Grenades; Thermal Det

3. Technician
- Shotgun/Flamethrower/Lightening gun; Repeater Pistol; Fusion cutter/heal; Fusion cutter/damage; Ammo Replenisher

4. Sniper
- Sniper rifle; Pistol; Grenades; Recon droid x2

5. Demolitions
- Missile/Grenade launcher; Pistol; Mines; Detpacks; Concussive grenades

6. Mobile
- Quick, deadly and flight; Short range weapons
Includes: Rocket Droid/Geonosian elite; Clone Jet trooper; Rebel Mercinary; Storm Jet Trooper

7. Stealth
- Short range, Stealth mode, knife, sabotage
Includes: Shadow trooper/Clone Assassin; Stealth droid; Bothan spy/Recon trooper; Imp commando/Blackson trooper

8. Support Gunner
- Heavy fire-power, turret dispensors, shields
Includes: Clone support/ARC gunner; Droideka/Trando Mercinary; Twilek Gunner; Wookie Support; Shocktrooper Enforcer

9. Special
- Unique units that can be most effective

It's summer 2016. After a break from modding to work on my career and my e-bike, I felt like modding again. Some updates to the mod this summer:

  1. Patch 2.1 with some canceled Battlefront 3 models, campaign adjustments, recovered campaign VO & hero changes will be here today.

I have a question or suggestion about the jedi/sith in the game.

Would it be possible to change swap the command for heavy attack and block?
Right now, in order to block you have to hold down the attack button. This means that de facto you will execute a strike, which with me often kills or injures my own teammembers. Furthermore, for the characters with a long attack animation like the emperor or vader, it takes quite a long time to go into block mode, enough time for the enemy to do some serious damage.

Also, I would like to suggest to, if at all possible, make these characters immune to the charged/stun shot on the semi-automatic weapons. Right now, facing Yoda, Vader, or any lightsaber user for that matter isn't as dangerous as facing a rifleman. Since they have to come close, you can simply fire the charged/stun shot, send them flying, and shoot them up while they are down.

Do you agree with me on this?

Bullets can, the stunshot cannot. It might be repelled but you will still be send flying. And if I am, as you say I should, working alone, I will be blown to smithereens before i get back up again. Definitely if I do not have covering fire.

Even if working alone, that does not negate my second point that going into block mode can take enough time to take serious damage.

I've seen jedi block 'stunshots' easily. You're talking about where you 'charge' a rifle and it shoots a blue orb, yes?

About that... You can enter a block by holding the attack button after you [i]actually attack[/i]. So, if you cut someone in half, you can follow through with a block without having to go through another attack animation. As far as I can tell this applies to all attacks. On top of this, you automatically block any frontal damage when attacking.
As blocking has no base stamina cost in this mod, there's no reason to walk around exposed all the time.
If I can go 350-0 with Aayla Secura using these mechanics, you'll be fine.

Can you really block these blue orbs? I have trouble with this and, when playing as a jedi, I get thrown to the ground, and consecutively get taken out, quite often.

I made a video where you can see that jedi are affected by this shot. It is part of the Coruscant mission but this applies to the heroes like Yoda, Vader, Luke etc. as well.

True, but you will agree that this is a single case. I, too, saw that he blocked it. However, it is the only one that has done it, as opposed to all the others who have not, even if the shot came directly from the front.

I agree that it is possible to be blocked, but from my experience, it rarely happens and most of the time you are still send flying.

True, it is not. But whatever the case, if they are blocking correctly, they will still be send flying. And this goes for me as a human player as well. I still get thrown to the ground while blocking due to these blue orbs.

If you had read the description of the video, you would have known that I refer to instances where this issue takes place.

It is true that the Twi'lek blocked these shots, and I am willing to accept this. However, you should also accept that this is a standalone case, as proven by the video. I realise that the AI isn't always blocking, but when it does, it is still affected, just as I am when I am blocking.

I have started this discussion to hear other people's opinion on the matter, since I see this as a slight imbalance. You disagree that this would happen and I gave you proof that it does. Frankly, I can not do much more to convince you. If you like, I can also upload a video of myself playing as a hero where this happens.

This post is just a small shoutout te the creator of the mod that he is aware that this happens. It does not say I do not enjoy the mod, I sincerely do, it is the best BF2 mod that I have played. This is just a little issue that I would like to adress.

Well, I haven't had a chance to test this because my Battlefront is currently being a bipolar teenager, and above that I'd have to wait around for the AI to try and use that charged shot.

If this is a legit issue, all I can think of is the orb's splash effect knocking you back after blocking it.
I don't know if you've realized, but you can actually deflect tank lasers without issue. The problem is you still get hurt quite a bit by splash damage. You can see this more consistently with sniper bullets, which also splash a lot.
Most bullets in this mod have some degree of splash damage, including rifles. I wouldn't be surprised if the rifle's charged shot does, too.

Regardless, I've put a lot of time into this mod and haven't noticed people breaking through my guard as easily as you describe. Maybe you just need to change your jedi playstyle a bit?

Maybe the splash damage could indeed be the problem, thanks.

As a jedi I usually like to play as Vader, who has a slower combat style due to his slow stamina regen and low movement speed. Therefore I am often walking slowly towards the enemy with my block on and thus I do encouter these things more often.
