Battlefront Power V3 (BFPv3) is a 'side mod' that improves playable characters, vehicles, and graphics.
For offline single-player; online multiplayer is not tested or supported at this time.

Replaces the 4 main factions, here is the side layout:
1. Soldier/Medic with Bacta/Regen health:
Carbine, semi-auto rifle with stun-shot, pistol, Award rifle.
Grenade, team bacta boost, melee, Award quick draw.
2. Sniper/Recon with basic stealth that only works at slow speeds:
Sniper rifle, pistol, recon/stealth mode, Award Repeater or pulse-beam mode.
Recon Droid (replacing autoturret), grenade, knife, Award quick draw.
3. Heavy/Demolition, now with more fire power:
Lock-on missiles, pistol, Award Remote Missile.
Grenades, Mines, pistol whip, Anti-inf grenade/emp launcher, Award quick draw.
4. Engineer/tech with fusion cutter that refills ammo:
Shotgun/blastcannon, commando pistol, Plasma Torch/melee, Fusion Cutter, Award fire/arc/disintegrater shotgun.
Supplies, Detpacks, Award stun shot.
5. Speed/Runner/Arial class is the fastest:
Clone Jetpack: Marine rifle, emp shots, commando pistol, emp grenade, Award stun shot.
Droideka: cannons, shield, ball/speed mode.
Bothan: Jetpack or Dual dl18s, incinerator, bomb, regen health, cloaking stealth, speed.
Darky: Minigun, rockets, grenades, commando pistol, ARC flamer, Award stun shot.
6. Officer/Guard/Gunners have heavy weapons, deployable gear, new flying drone droid:
501st ARC Gunner: Underhand chaingun laser, shotgun mode, pistol. heavy melee, rally, turret, Award quick draw.
Magna: Sonic concussion gun, charge staff melee. mortar mode, poison gas, autoturret.
Imp Officer: Sonic concussion rifle, pistol. mortar mode, rage buff, turret, knife, Award quick draw.
Wookie: Vibro Sword + smash attack. fury bowcaster, mortar-dart bowcaster, area shield.

New Hero and Villian Abilities:
- Most hero buffs also have disable blaster effect

Installation:
1. Verify that you have the 'addon' folder in your game directory:
C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon
In Steam it maybe:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Star Wars Battlefront II Classic\GameData\addon
If 'addon' folder directory does not exist then make it.
2. Unzip 'BFPv3' into 'Addon':
...\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon\BFPv3
3.*Run 'BFPv3_Install' from ...addon\BFPv3
Play the game! Run 'BFPv3_Switch' to turn mod on or off.
*The BFPv3_install.bat renames the 5 original/previous sides as 'Save_xxx_Backup'.
*If install fails, or you don't trust it, try the Manual Installation.
Manual Installation:
3B. Rename, backup, or move the 5 factions/sides (original game sides are from 2005 or 2006):
REP.lvl, CIS.lvl, IMP.lvl, ALL.lvl, TUR.lvl
4. Copy/paste or move the 5 sides in 'BFPv3' folder into main 'SIDE' folder,
...\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC\SIDE
5. Remove the 'BFPv3_' from the file names,
Rename 'BFPv3_all.lvl' into 'all.lvl'
Rename 'BFPv3_imp.lvl' into 'imp.lvl'
Rename 'BFPv3_rep.lvl' into 'rep.lvl'
Rename 'BFPv3_cis.lvl' into 'cis.lvl'
Rename 'BFPv3_tur.lvl' into 'tur.lvl'
Uninstall:
1. Run 'BFPv3_Uninstall' in ...\GameData\addon\BFPv3
2. Delete 'BFPv3' in:
...\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\addon\
To verify uninstallation:
Go to the main 'SIDE' folder:
...\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC\SIDE
Check the dates, BFPv3 files should be from 2020. Stock sides are older, from 2005.
Manual Uninstallation:
1. Find your backups of the 5 original sides from 2005 (If you used BFP_Install.bat then the original files were renamed as 'Save_xxx_Backup'):
REP.lvl, CIS.lvl, IMP.lvl, ALL.lvl, TUR.lvl
2. Go to the main 'SIDE' folder:
...\Star Wars Battlefront II\GameData\DATA\_LVL_PC\SIDE
3. Move the 5 original (2005) backup sides (REP.lvl, CIS.lvl, IMP.lvl, ALL.lvl, TUR.lvl) into the main 'SIDE' folder and overwrite or delete the newer (2020) files to restore game.
(If you used BFP_Install.bat then rename the 5 'Save_xxx_Backup' files)

A surprise but a welcome one!
I like the new units, the philosophy of the weapon design, and the skins. I'm, however, a little disappointed that going prone has been removed (even if it was entirely cosmetic). This, overall, seems to feel more like a whole new mod rather than a continuation of previous versions.
Are there any plans to add maps? I wasn't particularly fond of the originals, but there was a lot of innovation, like with how you can use SPHAATs to destroy core ships.
Prone is still on some GCW units, looked glitchy on everything else.
The one and only Syth has returned to us to offer us yet another updated version of The Battlefront Power Mod. Does this mean next year in 2022 we will get Version 4.0?

Hey guys, I'm not sure what's going on, but your Bespin map keeps crashing when I do the campaign. Any way to fix it?
Turn BFPv3 on/off with 'BFP_Switch.bat'
Also, another issue I have is that Rhen Var crashes when I try to do BFP CW/GCW. Could this be because it isn't compatible with the new version or something?
On some maps, I rarely play old versions of my mod any more, this version is mainly so you can play on other basic mod maps. Please read end of 'BFPv3 Info'

Probably a stupid question but does this include everything in the older versions of do I have to download them all?
can you make the b1 be the main infantry unit for the cis? it would make more sense considering you're mod's focused to be accurate

I used to play with this mod a lot some years ago and i actually decided to download it again, explore it more and give my own feedback to this mod. I love the new models, new weapons, first-person is actually good 99% of the time, some small changes to some maps, some vehicles got added to "Instant Action" like Gunship (LAAT) on Mygeeto or on Kashyyyk, new heroes and villains and many other details that actually turns BF2 into something new and fresh. However i also want to report some issues or personal opinions that i hope will be considered:
- There is a custom map without name (i'm playing in italian). It's the one where you can only play "Hero Assault".
- The mod doesn't seem to follow instant action settings and increasing AI Units per team doesn't increase the total number of units ingame. (I usually play with 32 units and in vanilla the battle is 350 vs 350).
- The Gatling gun does a weird explosion sound when shooting, seems to appear only on the empire unit.
- When using some guns there is a weird red line in the middle-left side of the screen.
- The Speeder Bike and Tauntaun (Hoth animal) are first-person only?
- Ashoka Tano model is stretched and i don't think this is done on purpose.
- I'm not sure why but some turrets on some maps (more about Geonosis but also some others too) are pretty much invisible.
- The "Republic Commando" is named "Marine Clone".
- The Flamethrower of Bossk has a range that is clearly wrong.
- This is a personal opinion but i would really like to see more custom units, especially for the Empire because they are pretty much always the same with only some different villains (Darth Vader/Starkiller/asajj ventress...) or some specific units like the one we can see on Mos Eisley or the Snowtroopers. The Clones have different colors (Shocktroopers on Mustafar or 212th on Utapau) or the Phase 1 but some units are pretty much always the same like the engineer or the jetpack clone and i would like to see some changes.
- I never talked about balancing on mods because nobody cares but i'm forced here. Some guns have that knockback that push you away and makes you do some rolls and it's funny and chaotic but i also hate it. The moment you are against one unit that have that style of weapon you are dead. You will constantly get knockbacked and you can't move until you get up but even in that case there is a bit of delay and you still can't move and you're just dead. The moment you are in a knockback state even allies' grenades knockback you again and i don't think i've ever seen this in vanilla game. Something similar happens with Bossk's flamethrower that blocks you and if you are jumping your animation will be slowed and you will never touch the ground because you will die before that. This is the first time i talk about balancing on a mod and i really think you need to reduce that or add a way to do a roll the moment you touch the ground to escape the loop.
- Grenades are weird. The range is pretty much non-existing and they take hours to explode.
- I'm not sure if this is also a thing on other vehicles but the AAT is impossible to destroy. The shield is constantly regenerating and using a heavy class to destroy it is not easy. You first need to use the EMP launcher and pray it fires where you're aiming at and then shoot with your main weapon praying again it shoots correctly. If you missed any step then you need to re-do the process because only shooting with main launcher won't be enough and will only take down the shield again. This brings to have a hard time using a lightsaber too! (i was Yoda and couldn't destroy the Armored Tank Droid on Kashyyyk).
- What i said above. Sometimes the missile launcher shoots on a very random direction.
To me the mod still a very good "total conversion" mod and i actually suggest it to anyone who likes those type of mods but i really hope some things get fixed or new units get added maybe from recent Series or Legends.
