AT 30,000 FEET... you are almost 6 miles (9.7 km's) above sea level. The human body is not made for these conditions. Temperatures can plummet to -60F (-51C), the brain is starved for oxygen and each step is a new experience in pure agony. It's difficult to breathe. It's difficult to think. It's difficult to move. And you still have to endure another 444 feet (0.14 km's) to get to the peak. So much for the good news. STORYLINE: SURVIVE the SUMMIT ...The rebels are losing the battle against the strider onslaught that keeps growing. To help turn the tide of war you need to destroy the source of the Striders. That source is at the summit of what the rebels call, StriderMountain. There is only one way to get into the mountain geography and it's extremely dangerous terrain. The mod folder you extract to must be called Strider_Mountain.
ya just create a folder for it to go into
new file with proper name will be out tomorrow and a patch will be released for map 8.As far as I know it will be released here also instead of just planetphillip

I don't get the crosshairs for any weapon?
I havent tryed the mod yet, but it could be you, just type in the console "crosshair 1" and you should get crosshairs, but I dont know if the mod will let you or not.
EDIT: didnt see the comment below, this has already been resolved I see.
I downloaded this mod on Saturday. Is there a patch maybe?
Sorry I didn't get back to your question sooner, but I'm the only person currently working on the Strider Mountain Mod and I've been extremely busy. Getting the crosshairs back is simple (which I fixed in the latest release). You simply need to start the mod and bring up the console (~ or ` key) and type the following.

That should fix the problem.
I'm currently working on a final version of the mod which will hopefully fix the last few bugs based on the feedback I've received so far. But this will take time because the maps are pretty complicated. SPY designed the maps but he can no longer work on them because of computer problems so it's left to me to figure out what's causing the bugs.
And of neither of the way work to get console up, go via steam folder - Properties - set launch options "-console".
Since it were for me impossible to get Console up otherwise, then I typed bind "f12" "toggleconsole" or "toggle_console" I don't remember which it is.

i made a folder called strider_Mountian. extracted the file into there, but once i restarted steam, it didnt show up, dont know what the problem is, really wanted to play it.
Make sure you spelled "mountain" correctly. Also, there is a new link above with the folder already in the download.

Can't unzip this file anywhere, says the file is damaged, the archive is in unknown format
For some reason the archive ends unexpectedly for me and I've downloaded it twice just to make sure that there wasn't some sort of error. Ill give it another try. Hopefully it works.

and i don't understand it very well, i just have downloaded 2009_09_12_Strider_Mountain_Rev1.zip
myself from the download button above, and i could normaly extract it.
so, it seems to be ok.
it can sometimes happen that because you do other things on the internet while you're downloading, this causes that the rar/zip file gets corrupted.
but i don't think this is the case here, because 3 people now do experience this error.
so we will look in to this, but, maybe you would like to try it ones again. because, as i said, i really just tested it, and i didn't had any trouble with it at all.
should someone else have the same experience, then please do comment on it here so we know there is something wrong. although like i said, we do look in to this emidiatly !
