This mod has been discontinued for a better project [Abagail]:

Plot:

Darkness, dust, decay and danger. This is what he wakes up to. No memory of how he came to be on this barn floor, covered in dust as though he were a part of it. no memory of who he is or how he’s lead his life. A boy of seventeen, alone in a bleak world, devoid of natural life. A world inhabited only by nightmarish creatures and their abominable creator. Unfortunately for our boy, this vile professor seems to hold the answer to all his questions and perhaps the key to his freedom, but of course, all gifts come with a price.

Deformation Studios proudly presents, 'Stitches'. A new Single Player modification with the intention to haunt your dreams. We have been working on this mod for one month now, Production is going smoothly and we are working on our Design Document. Stitches is a rather obsure Modification that differs from other horror mods in many aspects. Our first reason is because we are going to scare the player using sounds, rather than jump-out-and-scare visuals that happens in todays horror games.

Fraghouse.beyondunreal.com - We have used FragHouse's SP Framework v2.0 as a basis for this modification.

Finished Barnyard

News 4 comments

Stitches - Latest News:

27th April 2008

We've just finished our first map in Stitches, We've spent a total of two weeks on this map, and since the previous update, lighting has improved in screenshots, and fog has been upgraded in the skybox to get rid of those nasty lines. Inside the barn we've updated some mesh positions and the overall lighting in the room.
Outside, we have added new terrain objects like grass, ferns and rocks to liven the experience. We've made the moonlight stronger and we've added two spotlights onto the barn's entrance and left walls.

Hope you like the screenshots!

Thanks for the comments Myles!
To be honest, when I started this map, I knew it wasn't going to turn out great. The barn is tiny and so is the terrain. We had expect it to total up to about 5-10 minutes of gameplay, instead, it totalled to 5-10 seconds of gameplay. We've contemplated a few of your ideas and because of the way we have mapped the Barnyard map. We think we can try it better. Thank you for the tips, you'll be sure to see a few of them in the next map :D

Hey, ive got a few tips, for you.
Inside the barn your lighting seems to have alot of variation, which is good. But you should get rid of the wight light that seems to come from nowhere and instead replace it with a large, dark light to fake the radiosity of the lights, a dark blue or dark orange would suit this scene. I suggest you make the room smaller, or atleast split it up with another room at the back that stores coal or tools. The barn feels very empty, mainly because all the objects you do have are set around the edges, have some more stuff in there. There should be some kind of roof, I suggest you open the room up into the atic and then add beams. Add some muck and grime to the floor by using the terrain coming through the floor. Add pipes to supply water/gas to the equipment. Have some kind of work becnh with tools lying on it. Have some hay bails around the edges. Add some more brushes around the edges of the room (around the door and the floor). Give your lights a obv source, such as a fire.

On the outside the moonliht is good, but there is some red lighting which shouldnt be there, get rid of the generic lighting prop and replace it with your own mesh, such as a old gas lamp. Add some more layers to the terrain such as mud, greener grass. Add a small cliff to back back of the house so it is not directly on a hill. Add more ferns/plants on around the trees and rocks, replace the trees with your own mesh that suits the enviroment more. Add moss onto the sides of the barn.

I know theres alot of stuff there but I reckon itll look a heck of alot better if you make those changes.
