Early June 1888 -

Those dreadful pods landed on our island.

From that point on, our world, the course of human history, would be radically altered forever.

With our backs against the wall we had no choice but to change our plans and  grudgingly admit that we, former masters of this planet Earth, had been replaced by a more dominant form of life.

With that realization we went down, deep into the Earth's crust, separating ourselves from the world above.

 

June 1928-

The horrors of the surface seem so distant now, but we all remember. It is a new world, a quiet and disciplined existence free of catastrophe but lacking in the carefree flow of lives we enjoyed in our youth.

Our children today have never known a blue sky or a sunset, nor the song of bird, the smell of fresh rain...

But the world awaits our return... And someday there will at last be a reckoning.

Hello guys, 

As our team grows and discussion of development continues more and more, questions arise. Even though we have not hit the full on development stage, we still need to be able to plan out certain aspects of the game.

We are looking for new people to join the mod team who are willing to discuss the early game mechanics and help us finish the rest of the design process.

We need mostly, at this point, a sound engineer. Our Musical Composer, Anton Riehl, and I have been arranging our ideas and concerns about the implementation of music and dynamic ambiance into the Unreal 3 engine. Certain questions arose that would need to be addressed by a sound engineer in order to utilize both the music and overall design of the project.

If anyone is interested in helping with this blueprint we would be more than happy to have you on with us.

We are also looking for people experienced in:

- Programming (Preference for UT3 Experience) 

- 3d Modeling/Animation

- Level/Map Design

- Texture Art

- Concept Art

These people will be key in planning out the early phases of development as well as in putting together the actual game.

Curious to know about the gameplay for this mod. Will it be linear in level design or a bit more free roaming? Just eager to see this actually get into level development :)

Free roam for sure. Think Day Z with Tripods, but more unpredictable and dynamic.
