Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles is a total conversion for the fantastic game Star Wars - Empire at War: Forces of corruption. This total conversion will replace every single Star Wars asset of the original game with Stargate assets. This includes units, buildings, icons, sounds, videos and so much more. Pegasus Chronicles offers 3 playable races, the Ta'uri (alliance between Earth and the Asgard), Anubis (a mighty systemlord) and the Wraith. Beside these 3 playable races, you will meet many non-playable ones like the Replicators, the Asurans, the systemlord alliance, the Aschen, the Ori and many more. Each faction will have several space and land units, well known from the series or completely new ones. Contrary to our first full version for the normal Empire at War, the next release will offer finished GC maps, in which you can play through the known Stargate storylines and experience a lot of never seen missions and adventures.

Gowron asked:
When can we expect to see a galactic campaign?

Answer:
There is no specific release date for the Galactic Conquest and Ground mode yet. But we’re working hard to get it done as soon as possible. ;)

axasin asked:
Will you put a pegasus conquest only as the ancients/wraith/asurans?

Answer:
As it’s quite difficult to implement more than three fractions this is currently not planned but we’re toying around with this idea for a while now so maybe this will change at some point in the future but not for the first release for Galactic Conquest and Ground mode.

Sanguinius asked:
#1 What's the status of the ground part of the mod, if that's hard to answer how much percent is done for ground?

Answer:
Some aspects of the ground mode are nearly done like the Wraith soldier, some are just concepts like the Goa’uld hover tank.

#2 When can we expect the GC with both space and ground, even if it's alpha?

Answer:
We try to release the first version of the GC as bug-free as possible so hopefully it will be better than an Alpha. As this takes a lot of time to archive there is no specific release date yet.

Titan.cb asked:
Is it possible to make the Tau'ri rely less on Asgard ships and put more Tau'ri ships in, maybe make the Asgard as a Supergate ability or there own separate race?

Answer:
Our goal is to create a Stargate game as close to the series as possible. As the Asgard and humans worked together in the series and non of them have enough ships to exist as it's own faction we thought it would be the best way to merge them into on faction. But also we're not doing a 1:1 copy of the series as we need some selfmade ships to make e.g. the Wraith playable.
The most important point is: It has to be fun to play.

In addition some questions from Facebook:

Jeff Spickler asked:
Could you make an ancient side playable?

Answer:
As it’s quite difficult to implement more than three fractions this is currently not planned but we’re toying around with this idea for a while now so maybe this will change at some point in the future but not for the first release for Galactic Conquest and Ground mode.

Diego Vera asked:
1. I'd like to know if you'd be allowed by MGM to use SG-1/SG:A/SG:U cutscenes as cinematic videos ingame, because you already use sounds and music from the series. It'd be cool to watch them when you win (or lose) a GC like the base game.

Answer:
We won’t use material from the series but create our own cinematics if needed like we did for the intro video. :)

Oliver Hammar asked:
Will you put in Destiny?

Answer:
We see that this is widely requested from the community... maybe in the future if we see a purpose for the Destiny.

In this case I think Klon meant to say "answers" instead of "questions".
We have been collecting all the questions that have been asked here, in our forums, on facebook etc over the last weeks and on the upcoming weekend I'll pick a bunch and answer them. After that, someone else from our team will answer some and so on.

As Locutus said I messed up my answer a bit. ;)

Description

You asked...we answered! These are some results of the first Stargate - Empire at War: Pegasus Chronicles developer Q&A answered from Klon.

Hi folks! My name is Marius “Klon” Meierhöfer and I joined this project back in 2006 as Level Designer. Back then I created for example the first version of the Atlantis ground map.

Moddb.com

I’m now working as Project Manager, so an Excel sheet or a presentation here, organize a team meeting or talking with our hosting provider there…administrative stuff. Also I back the other two Project Leads up as Project Co-Lead and discuss with them e.g. internal processes. Apart from that I’m responsible for the communication of our project as Marketing & PR-Manager…so everything you read on Moddb, our homepage, Facebook, Twitter, G+ and our other communication channels got through my hands. For that reason I create the content for such channels with some basic image manipulation and the help of the team and the moving pictures as Video Artist. My newest task is the guidance of our localization team as Localization Manager…if you’re want to translate our project into another language give me a hint. ;)

So if you have any questions regarding this areas please feel free to ask. :)
I will try to answer them in the next round of our Q&A.

I hope you like the answers given in the comments! Please allow me to ask a question to you too:
Do you like this new Q&A format? I would be happy if you guys could give me some feedback. :)

The next answers will be send out by Locutus next Sunday…stay tuned!
