recorded using D3Dgear ( i may actually pirchase this software as it is excelent at capturing true HD game footage)
a little suggestion.....the ships are firing weapons too rapidly i think, especially torpedos, the galaxy class fired more than 10 torpedos
at a time ,it looks awesome but its too unreleastic,as the torpedo tube of it can only fire 10 at a time(also galaxy class are using quatum torpedos?).maybe you could limit the number of torpedo fire to make it look more releastic?as we know not every ship can fire torpedos rapidly at any time.and another suggestion, the phaser/diaruptor pulses are too big in size,i think the size in soa2 are just fine. of course, still appreciate your great work, thank you guys so much!;D
That's a torpedo spread ability in use. The next caveat is that the galaxy you see is the venture refit, which included quantums.
The next answer is yes, all ships CAN fire quantum torpedoes. they're by all reports still torpedoes, and are the same size as photon torpedoes I'd guess. It's like asking if a spud gun can fire a sweet potato. yes. it's still a potato.
I think you're right about the disruptors. We'll have a look at reducing the size of them a little.
I love the weapon effects, i believe maybe the weapons firing rate has to be controlled otherwise battles will look messy and confusing and not feel as cinematic and dramatic as it could. The phaser and torpedo effects are beautiful. dont slim them down, the disruptors maybe a little fat but id rather play it and see.
