Star Trek: Armada III begins with the first stirrings of the Dominion War and allows players to take command of five unique factions, the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union/Dominion Alliance, and the Borg Collective. Explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and boldly go where no one has gone before.
Mindwipe ran a test game to showcase some footage of the Romulans currently in progress. keep in mind there are alot of elements still to be implemented. so this footage doesnt reflect the final look and feel of the faction but you get to see how things are coming along... (listen out for admiral Sela's warbird)
Noticing some great music choices. Klingon Academy music was epic and Starfleet command II was cool too and adds great trek feeling and atmosphere more than Armada ever did.
Love ALL the models but that Scimitar. DAMN!
How on Earth did you do that shield impact effect?
Simply epic . Seems like some ships from Armada1 & Armada2 are still missing or you simply didn't show em but what you've shown us so far of the Romies is indeed incredible and as usual fantastic work people. Only thing I would complain about is the scimitar special weapon effect. Do we really need such a massive cloud I already hated the same thing on the Advent. It ruins the space scenes if you just wanna sit back and watch. But that's only my opinion of course. I would change it or make the effect smaller in size.
Also don't forget to implement the Armada1 & Armada2 Romulan music I didn't hear it so far. :) Stay on ball I'm definitely looking forward to get my fingers on it in December.
I prefer they don't limit themselves to some crappy game from 12 years ago. It's way too good for that. It looks like they are taking themes from every available source, and picking out all the best parts, fantastic work.
The Titan abilities are still the stock placeholders for now until we finalise what we want for it, so there'll be no bonkers cloud :)
Armada 1 music for romulans is in ;) armada 2 music for rommies wasnt that great so we left that out ;)
armada 1 was ok yeah. Good for a star trek game. 1999, jeez i was a young pup then. I remember the suprise 5th campaign that appeared in the center of the menu, just when I thought the game was finshed with 4th campaign.
