Star Trek: Armada III begins with the first stirrings of the Dominion War and allows players to take command of five unique factions, the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union/Dominion Alliance, and the Borg Collective. Explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and boldly go where no one has gone before.
XPGamers Lets Play... Star Trek: Armada 3 (Sins of a Solar Empire Mod) Ep.1 Fed Vs Klingon.
Star Trek: Armada 3 is an upcoming mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. Beginning around the time of the Dominion war the mod will progress on it's own branching timeline. Join me "CaptainShack" As I command the Federation fleet against the aggressive and honor-bound Klingon Defense force in this early sneak peek at a fantastic mod.
Be sure to check out TheXPGamers Youtube channel and show CptShack some love.. Youtube.com
I love the shields effect
Lol who was the dude doing the commentary? is that mindwipe. "Zoooooooooom" as the Enterprise goes past lolz.
Good to see the mod full/ish. Although with that micro management the Klingons on hard would of owned him :P, but showing and playing and chatting is a bit much so ty for this.
That's Captain Shack, of XPGamers. He's recently taken over moddb's youtube channel. Check him out
believe me if i commentated every word would be an F-Bomb!
he speaks the FUUUUUUUUndemental truth.
Really enjoyed watching that. A massive thank you to CptShack for the video :D
Seeing the Enterprise with the lighting/shadowing effects... Beautiful...
so the saber is avaliable before the Miranda? Isn't that a bit backwards?
Otherwise stunning work lads, you are seriously awesome.
The saber is the prime frigate at the time of the mod, (at least that's our excuse). the Miranda is re-introduced as a supplementary frigate as its abilities are useful for the fleet.
also remember for its day just like the nebula class it was modular.. so it served a veriety of functions.. by this period its a work horse like the excelsior (note) only two 23rd centuary designs to be commonly used at this time period...
ahhh righto, the debuffing thing. That actually makes really neat sense :)
You guys really thought this through, makes me so psyched to play!
