We'd add a 'Sweden class' but its shipyard has been swamped by space-migrants.

I somehow find this severely disrespectful towards those fleeing from conflict, poverty and prosecution. This should be about living the believes of the Federation, especially today where this work of science-fiction and art not only seems centuries, but also lightyears away in terms of our own standing and thinking on the truly pressing matters of todays mankind.

I don't think that I take this "too seriously" or that I am "butthurt", before anyone asks. There is little funny about what is happening here in Europe or in other places of our Earth. It's damn serious and the ones really involved will surely agree with me, be it those clinging to the very last of their existence or the ones trying to help those who tripped and fell by offering open doors, hearts and minds.

Oooooooooooo...

Schuchart, you ravenously randy ragamuffin. While I am soooooooo tempted to get into a debate about the migration crisis Europe currently faces, I have to force myself to remember that ModDb is probably not the best place for such exchanges.

All I will say is that the situation is far from being that simple.

Hmm.

As someone who has been working voluntarily on a weekly basis under the premisses of this crisis for two years now, especially having a really hard time during the last three months, when the situation in Eastern Europe escalated, as up to 12.000 refugees came through our town (where nearly all of them were in the need of help and shelter), I can pretty much say: It is not. But rather not 'easy', than 'simple'. I did not vow for this to be any of the two.

And I am confused by the fact, that you tell me that "the situation is far from bein that simple". Because in the end, you and Liberty_wings were the ones, who thought this topic to be 'simple' enough to summarize it in two to three snide remarks.

First of all, well done for your volunteer work - Europe and the world need more people like you.

Second, people make light hearted comments about serious issues all the time. It's natural and healthy, but criticising it only breeds resentment. Also, telling people they can't disagree only tends to make them do so more bitterly.

Third, please dear, let's not fight in front of the children. This is a very complicated topic but if you'd still like to discuss it feel free to PM me.
