One of the things that makes this mod stand head-and-shoulders above other mods or games is the quality of the modelling: yet another superb looking ship. Will this make it into 1.3?

Yes indeedy, with further similar model improvements to come in the near future. Max is like a dog with a bone when it comes to modelling and the Romulans have been bugging him for a while.
I allways have problems with the romulans even in the original armada. Its a shame the movies and series give so little variety of their ships. Also there are the only race i cannot imagine using refits of TMP era ships
Will the Romulans also find their way into Axanar and the lost years ?
By the way, how about Geridian Warbirds as random ships in some systems
