Star Trek: Armada III begins with the first stirrings of the Dominion War and allows players to take command of five unique factions, the United Federation of Planets, the Klingon Empire, the Romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union/Dominion Alliance, and the Borg Collective. Explore strange new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations, and boldly go where no one has gone before.
Cardassian Kulinor
Boom.
I like to think the picture before with the Starfleet and Romulan fighters battling it out is going on right there in that explosion.
I would like to thank the Federation colony for hosting our weapons demonstration.
And still 7 days till the next "demonstration".
The United Federation of Planets would like to thank the Cardassian Union for the useful, if unanticipated, field test of our new Planetary Shield System. We would like to announce that utilization of it was a resounding success, with no casualties suffered on the surface.
The concurrent test of our orbital defense grid failed to meet projected results, but we shall rectify these errors soon.
That´s no moon.
Computer : "The Rebel Base is located on the far side of the planet Yaven. In firring range in 15 minuets"
Tarken : "I say we are in range now, Fire"
little fun fact the deathstar had a recharge time of 4 hours so flying around was the correct choice.
Sweet succulent succubi! That's a big gun!
kulinor sound like some vulcan ritual.
Thank you so much, that had been bothering me the better part of two days. Kulinor it the Vulcan final ritual to purge them of their emotions. In The Motion Picture, Spock is taking part in it but stops T'Pal because he is struggling with being half human and conflicted about completely removing that part of him.
That would be Kolinahr.
This is what we like to call the WABOOSH cannon.
Will the Romulans get a second titan as the other races did?
pfff the scimitar is too bad *** any ways :P
Nope. Klingons got a second titan due to popular demand. The Exploding Crate is useful but didn't fill what most people thought of as a 'dreadnought' role.
The Feds got a second titan because they're the Feds. Their diverse fleet lends itself to flexible gameplay, but the Excalibur's role was restricted a fleet buff command ship. The second Fed titan is designed to be more offensive in nature, for players who want a nice big fist with which to punch their enemies in the face.
All other factions have a single dreadnought.
- Scimitar, the Ultimate Warbird
- Progenitor, literally Borg GOD
What more do you want? ;p
The Scimitar is a brilliant lone wolf. It's an all powerful raider and can be great in the middle of a fleet battle, too.
The Progenitor is a monster. It can easily take on whole fleets alone. Bane even demonstrated in the Borg faction reveal that it can one-shot an Excalibur.
> Bane even demonstrated in the Borg faction reveal that it can one-shot an Excalibur
It can one-shot every vessel (save monstrous vehicles) but itself. It takes two shots of the Reaper beam to destroy another Progenitor. :p
Ooooohh...
Stop it, Ambarenya! All this talk of big guns is making me randy! :D
"What more do you want? ;p"
All of the Scimitars firepower and abilities on a real Romulan design. I've hated that ugly thing from the second it decloaked in the movie.
It's a Tal Shiar designed stealth dreadnought designed to function as a mobile chassis for a massive, planet exterminating radiation cannon. It's not meant to look pretty, it's meant to look deadly, and I think it pulled that off well enough. :)
What I want to know is since the dom is going to be split up into two factions based on research, will the jem side get a second titan?
I want my asymmetrical death-dealer to become a reality
IMA FIREN MUH LAZOR!!!
BLA!
*insert Blaster Beam noise here*
We are going to need a bigger ha'tak.
That is some lovely purge right there! And that ship, marvelous! Is the visual effect the same as for the Doomsday machine, only smaller?
Nope. The Doomsday Machine's attack is, shall we say, quite distinctive...
