Return to the Zone in S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Wormwood, a high-difficulty survival-oriented realism modification for GSC Game World’s S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat. Wormwood builds upon the core Stalker experience, enriching the latest in the cult game series with brand new survival mechanics, intense and realistic gunplay, new missions, levels, fleshed-out building interiors and much, much more.
Filters and Air Bottles are now required for masks/closed circuit suits, keep an eye on their condition and make sure to pack spares!
Multiple variants are available, each with their own qualities.
As you can see in this screenshot, filter/air duration is indicated by a new bar on your HUD, representing the amount of air, or filter condition, you have left.
Nice
That sounds freaking cool guys ! a more Metro feeling now :D
One question about that, does running affect the depletion sleep ?
Running will hasten the rate at which you use air/filters slightly :)
Neat feature. How exactly does it work? For example, do areas of the map have bad air, or is there a constant bad air threat; if the latter does this mean we will always take damage (this could ruin poorly saved games) and if the former will there be an icon to show the air is bad?
The air is always filled with ambient radiation, as Beac mentioned before. Part of me think this is why the filter will take constant damage, but we'll see.
Filters and air bottles will gradually, slowly degrade/run out over time. When you're in a hazardous area such as a chemical anomaly or a radiation hotspot, the degradation will of course be faster.
I will share your updates in fan page in facebook, if you don't have problem :)
Could we get a link? That's great!
Sure! Here: Facebook.com
