It's very peculiar and new to engage the mercs here and having them come around and inside the building, I must say.

Awesome! And quite the coincidence as i came past this point in game, wondering what'd be in these closed buildings! :)

Hopefully it'll match people's thoughts of what would be in here!

Will you guys expand / increase the squads active in a level as well? I always thought CoP was so "empty" both in level design as Alife.

CS on the other hand, was a real waste-land. Rubble everywhere, always some people around, if it were friends or target practice puppets! :P

Of course, we're doing a MSO-style enhancement on AI ;)

Ahhh, I see ;) I hope it'll be up par with MISERY, cause troj has been refining it ever since the last release!

The one last question and ill leave you guys alone again, with these new locations, will we see more stashes? :)

Cheers!

Looks like this is in Zaton, next to where you find one of the toolkits. If so, most where the building is ( I just said, really ). The building next door, with part of a ladder hanging off can now be ventured into?

Also, any idea how many of the buildings in the game you'll be doing this to? As far as I remember or know, most buildings seen in the game are hollow, probably with no floor since you're never meant to go inside. If that's the case, well.. there will be a good number of new places to explore.

Regardless, it's an interesting concept and I'm curious to see how this turns out. Thanks for keeping us updated.

You're right :) The workshop next to the mercs is now fully explorable. We're aiming to do this to most of the 'hollow' buildings in the game.

I am glad to read all of this. I really hope that your opening of buildings lives up to expectations with props and interiors to examine. I have no reason to think that it shouldn't live up to such dream scenario.

How well are you controlling spawns of NPC/mutants?
One thing I really miss (in Pripyat in particular) is a 'lone wolf' on a top floor to jump at you.
Be it a lonely Stalker sniping/resting or a Snork seaking high grounds for a home. I don't care.
Just something to surprise us on the top floors on rare occasions.

Good job

Ooh, I love the idea of bringing back a "crazy dude in a building shooting at everyone"!

Will you be giving the new interiors uses as NPC camps? One thing that always annoyed me in STALKER is how often perfectly good buildings wouldn't be used as shelter by NPCs and mutants. ANY in tact building is a life saver in magical radioactive storm land!
