Wormwood builds upon the core Stalker experience, enriching the latest in the cult game series with brand new survival mechanics, intense and realistic gunplay, new missions, levels, fleshed-out building interiors and much, much more.
One of the main things we've been working on for v2.0 is a big focus on suits/outfits and upgrades!
Helping out on the design-side of the project is Etcetera, who has been beavering away at adding and tweaking outfits and upgrades, both existing and brand new.
The work Etcetera has been doing is extremely exciting and very important, and this brilliant infographic, kindly created by Kickasskyle for us, shows off his work excellently with two examples!
A new feature we're introducing with this infographic is the addition of a feature-reveal poll!
Head on over to the new forum, where a poll has been set up where you can vote for what unrevealed feature you would like to see uncovered next!:

I'd like to thank Etcetera and Kickasskyle for their hard work recently - this wouldn't have been possible without you guys!
Dat representation. Hope you won't get the "photoshop" trolls syndrome, too ;)
I'm guessing Etc. did the image? looks nice, inline with the overall quality of redux. Love it! Especially like the way you're free to upgrade your suit again in the new redux. 1.0 was kinda hardcore on the "back to shoc" feeling, If you know what I mean :P
The design of the image is really, really nice. Clean, simple and to the point, although if i may be nit-picky, the use of words in some areas could be improved upon. (duty suit = 'tough', aka 'heavier?', but more durable?)
Just nit-picking, like I said. ;)
Kickasskyle did the image for us, as said in the sidebar ;)
Yeah, we're very happy to bring back upgrades better than ever!
Oh! I see now!
Can't wait to see more of this. Really stoked for Redux, testing MISERY and developing my own mod get repetitive at times. Some variation with a hefty amount of quality wouldn't hurt!
Also regarding the wording, we spent a lot of time trying to get it right. Duty suits are exactly as said, tough but cumbersome. Protective and durable, but heavy.
34 completely new suits? You got my attention right there.
Plus unique and modified versions! :)
Very promising! Thank you all for this serious amount of dedicated modding.
And who had the genious idea of starting feature polls? :-)
I like it.
Haha, oh that was a totally original idea ;)
There's an idea I've wanted to see working for a long time, Proper outfit identification where dressing in a faction outfit gets you treated as one. Whether it's a random loner taking a pot shot at a distant merc or a team of Dutiers jumping what they think is a foolish Freedomer encroaching on there territory. Getting that sort of a reaction from npc's will be great.
That's the idea! We'll be tweaking the detection range carefully as well.
Glad to see that you're paying special attention to detection distances: there's an addon for Shadow of Chernobyl (or maybe just for the Oblivion Lost mod) that does something like this, but I've never been able to tell if it's going to backfire or not.
I've implanted this in the latest build of PPx, although it was the one which went lost after my HDD failure. It was and is a really, really well made mod and feature / addon to the game. With proper planning you could sneak into the Military base in cordon to retrieve the case with
What about a Monstrous SSP-99M Suit, OVERKILL!
Can we expect a release before 2014? And if so, what quarter?
No info yet buddy, sorry!
The infographic's style looks really exciting anad gives me a fresh breath from all of those dark palettes in CoP. Nice.
Looks really interesting.
The picture has an interesting style. I like it.
Truly intriguing. Fine work gents.
fine work
