The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.
Renaissance is a soundtrack overhaul with a bit of a different approach to how the music tracks are played, from the early morning to the dead of night.
A tiny update to fix a typo in one of the tracks name having an empty space in it causing a crash.
To fix it without re-downloading the archive, if you have installed the extra timeslots version, go to "sounds\music\level\Renaissance\Evening" and remove the empty space between the "n" and the "." at the end of Ashot Danielyan - Tension.ogg
Thanks Matumba_4 for the report.

I did not make any of the music that you can find in this mod. The music tracks names, owners names and link to where you can find their music are all indexed in text files, which you can find in the mod archive or at the bottom of this page.
Every single music track was downloaded from their respective website, I did not illegaly pirate any of the music tracks included in this mod, the majority of the tracks can be downloaded for free.
I do have altered some of the music tracks to make them shorter or longer and add fade-ins fade outs but I do not claim any of the original or modified music tracks to be mine.
All the music tracks are covered by either Creative Commons licenses (0, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0) or have their rights reserved by their respective owners ©, in the eventuality that you, the mod user, wanted to use any of the music tracks included in this mod, for your own projects, please acknowledge the different licenses and give the artists the credits they deserve.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this ❤️
Renaissance is a soundtrack overhaul with a bit of a different approach to how the music tracks are played, from the early morning to the dead of night.
Originaly Anomaly only has 3 separate time slot (Day, night, underground) with its own music being played depending on the current time. I added 2 more (Morning and evening), my goal with this is to add flexibility to how I can control the mood, the ambiance, that I wanted to convey to the player at a specific given time.
Let me give you the different time slots first :
ㅤ
- Morning : between 6am to 7am or 06:00 to 07:00
- Day : between 9am to 4pm or 09:00 to 16:00
- Evening : between 6pm to 7pm or 18:00 to 19:00
- Night : between 9pm to 4am or 21:00 to 04:00
ㅤ
(NEW in Update 4) Day and night only version of the mod :
ㅤ
- Day : between 9am to 6pm or 09:00 to 18:00
- Night : between 9pm to 6am or 21:00 to 06:00
Morning music tracks have more of a relief feel to them, another day in the zone, you spent the night outside hunting mutants, you almost died countless times but here you are, the sun is shining and you can see god rays illuminating your path, i want the player to feel good, I want the player to stop for a second and enjoy the moment, the zone is a harsh place but it can also be beautiful during peaceful times.
Day music tracks are the core of the mod, they are here to accompany you during your adventures, its a mix of semi-dark / Drone / heavy ambient tracks, they'll help you get immersed in the zone, giving you a false sense of security sometimes but also reminding you that the zone can backstab you at any moment.
Evening music tracks are here to remind the player that the sun won't shine bright on the zone forever, twilight is coming, you survived the day fighting boars and zombies but are you ready for all the horror coming out at night. You still have time to top up your mags and stock up on medecine, prepare yourself.
Night music tracks are my favorites, they are here to haunt you, to make you feel that a bloodsucker can jump on you at any moment, if you are part of the night shift crew that prefer to do your missions at night for maximum concealment, then forget caffein pills, those tracks alone will help you stay awake.
Lets not forget about the new music tracks for the different underground maps, they are dark, eerie, Satan himself listen to those when he goes to sleep at night, are you sure you took the stairs to lab X-18 ? Or did you take the stairs leading you directly to hell.
You might have noticed that multiples times during your day music won't play and the reason for that is to accentuate on the different moods I want to convey to the players, those moments of silence will help
clear the players mind of the previous music tracks so they can welcome the next ones with ease.
Time slots without music :
Morning, day, evening, night version of the mod :
- 4am to 6am or 4:00 to 6:00
- 7am to 9am or 7:00 to 9:00
- 4pm to 6pm or 16:00 to 18:00
- 7pm to 9pm or 19:00 to 21:00
(NEW in Update 4) Day and night only version of the mod :
Are you an artist, do you like to make music focused on heavy ambiance ? If you think one of your tracks would fit well within this mod then send me a message, fortune and glory awaits you!
(Well not really.. But I can offer a firm handshake)
Credits to mrozna for the Charon (as brainwashed Scar) face I used.
Now after having read all this, you might say to yourself, "Holy shit this is the best mod ever!" Lets be real here.. Of course it is! I'm kidding, in all seriousness, nothing is perfect some people will like it, some won't, and you know what ? Thats ok, no one is judging.
I really want to add more tracks to it but in all honesty it is really and I mean REALLY hard to find ambient music of this type for free on the internet so, I don't want to make false promises but I'll do my best to update it as much as I can.
In case you didn't like my mod, here are a few Music overhaul that are made by fellow STALKERS and I recommend you check them out :

Very interesting. I will try it
Thanks for trying it @kemelvorkorp do not hesitate to give me your feedbacks.
After one day of playing : I really love it. It keep the dark ambiance I love so much from the ambiance pack while giving sparse moments of relaxation with lonely guitar strings. I was afraid it would be a bit too uplifting, but it just give desolate far-west vibe and it really stick well with STALKER. I'm going to use it from now on... Althought I will merge Dead Air's soundtrack with it.
I hope you will add more tracks over time !
Dead Air Soundtrack is amazing, great choice, I do want to add more tracks overtime
On Point. Thank you for posting my Addon as alternative!
Innovative idea and great taste of music. Respect!
Ayyy thanks @dannydealmusic appreciate it, always here to show some love to fellow modders.
I will test this for a few days and comment again soon. Keep it up pal😎👌
Больше гитары, пожалуйста!
I hear you @RickG I'll make sure to add more guitar in the future, perfect instrument for the evening vibe.
Just listened preview. I think you just make bullseye: for me the Zone is a type of frontier with that green grass around, not apocalypse. Vanilla music make me feel dissonance. Thank you. With Expedition mod it should be feel best
Hey @R_Shur.e glad you're giving it a try, let me know if you have any feedbacks.
Love the idea but I'm assuming i'd get a copyright strike if I used it online Sadge
Hey @EnyoNomad unfortunately yes, most of the music tracks will get your content flagged for sure, especially on youtube, when it comes to Twitch I'm not sure but I guess the same DMCA bots are active on both websites.

Hey @Coverdrave good catch! And sorry for the inconvenience, I totally forgot about those special letters, to be sure I also removed one apostrophe from the files, thank you very much for the feedback.
Sounds cool, I'll give it a whirl.
Thanks for trying it @ZelfDestruct, don't hesitate if you have any feedbacks.
Wonderful mod. Installed it just fine but unfortunately i can never hear any music from this mod, anytime! I changed time from Debug to see if it would trigger. Doesnt matter if Dynamic music is On or off, Music volume full or not. :(
Hey @BadShankOG I did the test on 2 fresh 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 install and it worked fine, do you have any other mods installed? Are you using Mod Organizer? Have you tried any other music mod and were they working fine?
Hi, Thanks for replying. Yes, infact i am making my own modpack using Mod Organiser. I have a few sound related mods installed like Soundscape overhaul, Quieter rain, EFT Footsteps, JSRS port, DeathSounds, Voiced actor expanded EN, Decreased Bush Hearing Distance and your mod.
Edit: From what i gather, pressing ESC is making my music volume 0. Checked it in the console that it becomes 0 after pressing ESC.
Funny thing is - When i click on 'Basic Light settings' button in settings menu, the music starts. But soon as i press Esc to go to Main Menu, music stops again and i have to repeat above process.
I'm not sure what could be causing this, do you happen to have a mod modifying ui_options.script or user.ltx? I know that both files contain the snd_volume_music command. You can also try to set user.ltx to read only.
I also remember that dynamic combat music could cause such issue but I doubt you're using it.
I can also recommend to install this mod, worth a try if nothing else works.
Moddb.com
Found the issue!
I installed an Addon called Nitpicker's Modpack, which has a few smaller tweaks, it had a script called NahMusic, it disables music by executing snd_volume_music command every time a game is loaded/resumed and sets it to 0.
Removing the script solved the issue. Thanks for all inputs. :)
Glad you got it figured out.
Nice, an update. Can't wait to try it. I really love that mod.
Not a lot of new tracks but hopefully the differences in volume between them will now be less of an issue.
The addition of Winterblood - That I didn't know before - is really good. Especially in the evening, Arthur Vyncke - Uncertainty started to be drilled into my head.
I really love the melancholic vibe your mod add to the zone during the day.
hey random question not related to YOUR work but just overall modding music for stalker- I am a producer/music maker type person and I want to start messing around with adding tracks and attempting to figure out the dynamic soundtrack. do you have a direction to point me in? I downloaded the unpacker but it seemed to not unpack the tantalizing music/sound db0 files just the shaders and levels.
if you could help me out that'd be awesome! figure more music options for anomaly the better, helps world building.
Hey @Macros_for the dynamic music you need to edit the xrs_dyn_music.script
To easily get those type of files go to Anomaly\tools, use db_unpacker.bat, open up the newly created _unpacked folder and all the configs and scripts should be in there.
I think that in xrs_dyn_music.script if you replace those lines you'll be able to add your own tracks.

If you want to edit the ambient music check the game_levels_music.ltx file.
yo thanks! I'm watching lore right now and thinking of loose genre types to associate with factions haha, so I will follow your lead down the rabbit hole! duty-march style, bandits punk, ecologists jazzy chill... anyway even if they never go anywhere it's been fun! also hard to resist everyone being phonk haha
aye man ive been playing with this soundtrack overhaul for a good minute now and of all the soundtracks this one is definitly my favorite. you really cherry picked the tracks and picked good ones. but what really gets me is it feels like theres almost a theme and something similar tying all the tracks together. Like its not just a bunch of moody ambient tracks thrown together. Thanks for putting this together
I'm glad you're enjoying it @Thew0rm Hopefully I'll be able to release an update soon.
In my opinion your music is somehow way too calm and peaceful for a game that suppose to be depressingly horror. By watching your preview, the morning music sound like music to make you feel calm and less anxiety, like it sound way too peaceful for a survival horror game. But it doesn't mean that i don't like your ideal and music i have to say it. Your music is really awesome!
Hey @SirOrugu it is indeed a bit different from the usual S.T.A.L.K.E.R soudtrack, I personnaly have been playing this game for 15 years now and I needed something new, something out of the ordinary.
Ever since Anomaly first came out I've only been playing Ironman mode and I got tired of the constant dreadful ambient making me always be on the edge of my sit, and you summed it up perfectly for me, "the morning music sound like music to make you feel calm and less anxiety" when I spend the night outside hunting god knows what, thats exactly the feeling I want to get, when I'm on my way back home.
This mod sure isn't for everyone, but thats the beauty of modding, allowing us to share our vision on one of the many aspects of a game, and whether people like it or not the important part is that in the end we keep on sharing our ideas, opinions, or thoughts, because we all love the Zone. So thank you for your comment, I appreciate it.
Your addon is actually amazing. Good themed music for Anomaly, but i'm user of Ambient Music Pack you mentioned in description, can you make them compatibility to each other. I thought i can do it myself, but game_levels_music.ltx looks so differently from AMP addon. Need to sort them for every time of a day... I can't do it myself. If you not gonna do this, its fine. Anyway, i really appreciate your work and Winterblood music.
Hey @Aonestr i'll release the compatibility patches in a couple of hours, thanks for the suggestion.
Much Thanks!
Thank YOU for the suggestion and trying the addon out.
Hey. Thank you very much for choosing the music and for integrating it into Anomaly! The ambient turned out to be very atmospheric!
Hey @Orleon thanks for giving the addon a try, happy to know you enjoyed it.
I've played for several hours and I can say with confidence that this music pack creates a great atmosphere. Fits perfectly into the atmosphere of the Zona. I'm already a little tired of the standard OSTs, and these musical motifs are just a breath of fresh air
Thanks @cryengen3 glad to read that, i try my best to not deviate too much from the original atmosphere while still shaking things up a bit.
hello, i have a problem installing the patch for unofficial soundtracks using FOMOD.
did I do something wrong?
screenshot >_> Imgur.com
Sorry about that, it appears that there was an error in the fomod pathing.
In the meantime you can manually install the patch first install renaissance without any compatibility patches then open up the archive and go to :
Renaissance Soundtrack Overhaul\Compatibility Patches\Extra Timeslots\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Unofficial Soundtrack Overhaul\
Copy game_levels_music.ltx and replace the one that you first installed.
thanks for answering <3
Hello!
Can i use this with the Ambient Music Pack?
I would like to get musics from both mods.
EDIT : Nvm, got my answer by re-reading the description :)
Gonna get that mod for sure, thanks !
The non-extra timeslot version crashes in Dark Valley:

Oddly enough it gave me this crash report initially:
FATAL ERROR
[error]Expression : <no expression>

[error]File : ..\xrServerEntities\script_engine.cpp
[error]Line : 204
[error]Description : fatal error
[error]Arguments : LUA error: ...les/stalker anomaly\gamedata\scripts\itms_manager.script:523: attempt to index field 'actor' (a nil value)
Thank fully I had a lightly edited version of the itms_manager script for personal use so I could easily delete the lines that was apparently causing the crash and then the crash report about the music appeared afterwards.
No idea how a music error causes issues with the itms_manager script but at least I got to the bottom of it because I was worried I bricked my Anomaly installation.
Hey @Stocke_ thank you so much for the detailed report and I'm so sorry about that, I'll push an update ASAP, make sure to restore the lines you deleted in the script.

Edit : Here's a link to the fix Gg.gg
Thanks for the quick fix!
Great music choice. I especially like that the music is dependent on the time of day, as well as the music-free time slots. Thanks for your work
Glad you like the mod Mr Dude
