Soon I'll probably be making an addon with songs shorter than 10 mins, it will have more of Basinski's and Eno's art.

Looks very promising, though something like Eno's Signals is perhaps a little too bright and chilled for Stalker?
May I recommend looking into:

a) Robert Rich, "Somnium" (aka 'live cleveland sleep concert')
Legendary all night ambient sleep concerts performed in San Fran Bay area. Parts of it practically made for Anomaly.

b) Lustmord, "Heresy". Forefather of dark ambient, similar feel to some of the darker tracks from the original games.
Dead air uses a few tracks from Heresy I think though they're a little too wild.

c) Robert Rich and Lustmord, "Stalker". Inspired by Tarkovsky's film, a little too busy overall for background music, however some tracks and fragments may be fitting. Synergestic Perception is an ambient masterpiece.

d) Dead air score has that one piece clearly inspired by Tarkovsky's Stalker, to the point where you could be fooled into thinking it came directly from the film. I was sold on Dead Air's music about 50/50, but I have to say that one was of the most fitting tracks for Stalker I have ever heard. Funnily enough, it's the only piece missing from the newest dead air addon available here.

Yes, thank you for the recommendations! will have those in mind if I make a part 3, and respecting the bright songs, I kinda wanted to add some "bright" tracks because they can be fitting at some points, like when you are walking through Prypiat and after a bad night the sun rays start to shine your path. Anomaly is a beautiful game and I wanted to represent this with some songs too. Also gotta say Robert Rich was already in my mind and exactly Somnium, I'm working on selecting what parts I wanted to add and what not. Again, thank you for the recommendations, some of those I didn't have in mind, your comment has been very handy. Much love.

My pleasure, always nice to chat about and share some great ambient treasures.
And you’re right about moments of relative brightness... just as long as those come during the day only and far apart ;)

With regards to the darker end of spectrum, I’d add to the recommendation list Lustmord’s Heresy ptIV (night) Subspace (underground) Immersion (either)

Rich/Lustmord’sHidden Refuge and Synergistic Perceptions, both for night.

I’d also thoroughly recommend listening through Dead Air YouTube playlist as despite few lemons, it was a surprisingly good selection of fitting tracks. Anomaly itself ain’t too shabby either from what I could tell so far. I’ll see if I can pin that specific track I mentioned.

Finally, if you have any sound design skill I’d consider grabbing the main theme from Stalker by Eduard Artemiev and seamlessly waving it into an even drone ambient track so that it surfaces and submerges continuously, that theme singlehandedly shaped Stalker’s sound aesthetic obviously.

Look forward to seeing this expand!

EDIT: something must have changed in dead air score, as that track I’ve been raving about is the single missing thing, both on YouTube and moddb dead air music addons.
I’ll keep digging.

It's easy to set some tracks to only sound in the night, I can do that, I take note of everything, thank you, will work on it whenever I can. And sadly I don't have any experience in sound design, but I'll see what I can do.

Editing which tracks play editing the necessary .ltx file should do the trick. In this addon I edited that file, you can check how is it done to do it yourself.

Holy ******* breeki! I can't believe how much I love this music, and how didn't I find this myself before.
Thank you so cheeki much for this!

Does this mod completely replace vanilla music or adds to the playlist?
Edit: Also what happens during combat? (asking all of this before it's downloaded, slow internet and anxiety is killing me lol)

Edit2: Idk if this one from Brian Eno fits, but I love it Youtube.com
And maybe as an optional file, this Youtube.com would be a nice addition for night time (or underground, or after/during a blowout, if possible, it adds a lot of tension)

Very good work on this pack!
I wanted to ask, what song is the "15.ogg" file? The 29 minute one.
It doesn't match anything in the song list here on ModDB.
I really really like it.
