I have n00bus as an active member to the team! He is helping out with some model hacks for the next version of Tactical.
He has been hard at work with some CS: S rebels. Great stuff!
I have been working on the map conversions and mods to the single player experience.
"the author" of SMOD has already done a bang up job on his edits, so I will mostly be dealing with model changes from chapter to chapter.
My idea is that in the first few levels the combine will look like normal humans in military gear. And as you progress through the chapters they start to look more like the hybrid humans you see in the standard HL2 storyline.
The DM maps are more mission oriented and made for high replay.
They use the SMOD "node edits" so every time you play the map the NPC locations change. Never the same experience twice.
I also have tweaked the settings to make the guns a little more realistic. Did some skill.cfg changes based off some stuff that "yurch" did. The feel is a lot better than previous versions. Now comes the task of getting everything packaged and making sure all community credits are added. I'm shooting for a release this weekend, but I'm not making any promises.
