SMOD: Tactical is a modification of the single-player SMOD(Super Mod) for Half-Life 2. This mod takes advantage of SMOD's robust customization capabilities to offer players realistic, tactical gameplay with real-world equipment and firearms in the style of games and mods like Rainbow 6, Operation Flashpoint, Red Orchestra, and Infiltration.

Description
This update fixes a number of critical issues, assorted problems, and adds features. This version does not need Day of Defeat, or Lost Coast to play, only Half-Life 2 and Counter-Strike Source. Also it does not overwrite your current version of SMOD.
This update fixes a number of critical issues, assorted problems, and adds features.
Changes:
- DOD:S/Half-Life 2: The Lost Coast no longer needed. Likely fixing 99% of the "Mount Filesystem Error 301" issues.
- Made a possible 3d scope crash fix. (Still keeps the 3d scope enabled)
- Proper and working W models for NPCs (Converted by Onemanshow and veteran_gamer).
- Tweaked setup map cfgs for best performance.
- "Point Insertion" re-added to chapter menu.
- Zombie fix merged.
- Updated code to Smod Version 40a.
- alltactical.cfg errors fixed.
- Massive file cleanup for reduced size.
- Player voices disabled.
- Separate install that no longer overwrite's the Smod folder. Allowing normal Smod and Smod Tactical to be installed at the same time without conflict.
- Fixed MP5/Mossberg 590 HUD icons conflicting.
- Fixed Uzi using .45ACP ammo.
- Fixed improper UMP magazine size.
- Fixed excessive blurring/shaking when wounded.
- Added proper weapon spawn names. (EX:You can type in give weapon_m4a1 to get the m4a1 now)
- Added P90/M4A1/MP5 fire animation fixes made by EvilMr.Lee
- Disabled automatic reloading of holstered weapons.
- Lowered fire rate on Minigun to help prevent crashes with it.

will this fix all probs(motion blur,5 guns,and hard setting enemies on easy setting)?

dude, the console command "weapon_limitcategories 0" (no quotes) fixes 5 weapons and for hard enemies U HAVE NO SKILL and for motion blur just click smod effects level until it says low.
Very nice, Tell someone who you dont know and have never seen play a game that they have no skill. if its a bug in the game, then weather someone has skill or not doesnt matter, its something that should be fixed.
what i mean by 5 guns is i only have the knife pistol and 3 of the smgs cos all the other guns will fall on ground and lag the game to crash
you need to enable console and type weapon_maxweapons 0 then type impulse 101 and exec alltactical (or exec_alltactical) (you might also need to type sv_cheats 1)
Just type weapon_limitcategory 0 in console
SMOD Tactical needs damn good readme, coz' most of the things I had to figure out myself, but then I made my own config and made the game pure awesomness
It seems like we'll have to delet the old install....
btw the old one was HUGE! 600Mo or something... but 1go in the HDD.
When i pick up a Rpg in the smod tactical shooting range, the hud freezes and then the gmae crashed but other wise, good and low chances of crashes
Do i need SMOD installed for this? Cause its nevered worked (even ****** up HL2).

Size of SMOD 5.5 was 1.6 GB! Hope this one will be atleast 700 MB unpacked.
Why even if I restart steam, with this install the game is not recognized??

then reinstall Steam

I have broblem with this.
when i want play HL2 story it goes to load screen.
then there just reads SENDING CLIEN INFO and then game just craches :(

You need to go to Sourcemods/Whatever folder is SMOD/SAVE and delete all the files in there, The problem you have is you have a corrupt save that crashes the game weather or not you even load that save.
is cs_office included then?

its most likely to hard for you tibbels go back and play some cs.
i am having a problem, with smod tactical 5.56, fnfive gun there is no sound coming from when the gun shoots only from where the bullet ricochets off the wall, i even whent to the smodtactcal folder did not find the folder,any one have answers please email me at shlamo77@yahoo.com. thank you

Can I install this mod into my Half Life 2 without Steam? Cause I have Half Life 2 serperate.

every time i try to play this on my games list,i launch it and it goes to the menu screen,but then it just closes and it says something about "no steam content servers available" can someone please tell me what the problem is if anyone knows? pleeeaaase i wanna see these guns sooo bad :*(

Put that in sourcemods folder on steamapps you NEED to have smod and hl2 installed if you didnt understand a word a say you dont have half life 2 and in that circunstance you are probably never gonna get this working unless you buy it .

you can't install it, because there is no "non-steam"-version. sucks to have only a stolen version. buy it or leave it.
