Situation Outbreak is an Orange Box mod about the impending zombie apocalypse. Armed with nothing but a 9mm and a pair of brass knuckles, you must do whatever it takes to survive against the thousands of zombies that used to be your friends and neighbors. The cost of failure is nothing less than your free will. There are no heroes. No single person can save the world and there are not enough bullets to go around. The only thing left to do is to kill the damned, hoping that you don’t end up like them.

Awesome ! I'm still playing the one thats out .. and now this ! :O It's gonne be awesome ! love the mod ! I think this is the best zombie mod for half-life 2 ;)

1. I think sniper zoom very little. I mean when use optical sight.
2. When player use optical sight, nightvision must be disabled. Realism ^^
3. And make new idle anims for weapon! This is optional but with idle anims it's be looks better.

2) Good idea. I'll implement that as soon as possible.
3) It already has idle animations. They're quite prominent, too...maybe not in this video, but in general.

Not sure. You're positive you submitted it? In any case, we probably won't have the time to replace the hands before release. They have been modified though and will be phased out as soon as possible.

*sniper is awesome, the scope isnt
*secondary fire for melee looks a bit overpowered

The scope is much better than before, to be honest. It's also far more realistic. Keep in mind the video was shot in widescreen, so the visible part of the scope will be larger for lower resolutions, though you won't see more of the map or anything even at those lower resolutions.

The secondary fire isn't very overpowered at all. It does only around five damage, and pushes a single zombie back a few feet. If anything it's a bit underpowered, in my opinion.

Zombie NPCs already do collide with the player in v1.50 and in this video. Player zombies do not (not seen in this video).

what I wish for... Sleeves that maches the character and bether push anims. Didnt really see the scope well. but its prolly bether. sniper reminds me of an m14..

I personally think its kind of bad that you don't have to aim in order to even use the sniper rifle (you just point and shoot when there close it looks like)

The secondary attack for the melee weapons looks like it pushes zombies back to far.

Other then the above the map looks good and so does the night vision.

In v1.50, aim down the sights (MOUSE2) and press zoom (Z) for that effect. Glad you like it. =)

Whoever did the scope overlay doesn't know about how the scope's optics with the even the least of light you still could see through as if it was brighter.

Just keep in mind these videos are previews for v1.50, and the latest public version current available is v1.40. v1.50 will be released to the public late August, early September.
