I'm playing swtor at the moment and this looks just as great as it does there.
Personally i'd like a little more shine to the textures, but that's just me <3

Best ship in SWTOR in my opinion. However, it has a serious design flaw. That bottom middle turret cannot fire straight ahead. Really the hammer head should go sideways instead of up/down, though that would probably reduce the aesthetic appeal and would take away from the similarity of the Kotor era ships.

Hey Goa, agree with you on the bottom turret part, but i think the turret is supposed to engage targets on its left and right

Also, that's the Thranta-class Corvette, despite the Hammerhead shape, there is a huge difference between the HAmmerhead and the Tranta

I was talking about the shape. I know its a Thranta class corvette.

Yes it can shoot left and right, but there's no practical reason why you wouldn't want it to fire forward as well. :p

Nice work, now thats a good textured Thranta Corvette, unlike the old one

We are keeping in the old texture and recycling it for use as the "wanderer" just to give it a unique look.

Ah, i see, nice

But just a reminder, the Wanderer-class transports are essentially scaled down Thranta-class corvettes, so maybe use this same model/texture, but reduce the amount of weapons on the Wanderer class

We have no plans to use the same texture or model for the wanderer, but it will likely be smaller than the Thranta before 1.0.

i see, fair enough

Maybe a similar looking model/texture for the Wanderer class? Because essentially the Thranta and the Wanderer essentially look the same, except the Wanderer is less powerful than the Thranta

The new Thranta will only be on the Thranta. The Wanderer will use the old Thranta model we had.

ok, fair enough :)

But if you're using the old model, can you change the color of it in order for the Wanderer to have the same colors as the new Thranta?

The Hammerhead is in the game as well.

The Hammerhead may have been the universal ship in the Republic Navy, but the Hammerhead has been essentially replaced by the Thranta-class Corvette, reason being is that the Hammerhead was getting old, and the Republic needed a ship that could deal with multi-role threats, heance the birth of the Thranta-class

Except the Thranta is again replaced by the Hammerhead after SWTOR. The Hammerhead Cruiser was used by the Republic pretty much right up to the Clone Wars along with the Aruek-class Starfighter.

The Hammerhead and Aurek end use at the time of Darth Bane, 1000 years before the movies. The Thranta ends use some time before Darth Ruin, about 2600 years before the movies.

The first Hammerhead-Class Cruisers came into use around the time of Exar Kun, meaning they were in service for about 3000 years.

They were also larger than the Thranta-Class Corvette, and more powerful, but for whatever reason Bioware doesn't want to do anything but keep recycling old models for TOR rather than make new ones.

Would have loved to have seen Revan's fleet comprised of old KOTOR-era ships instead of the TOR-era stuff.

Any word on whether or not the Old Republic stuff will be finished in your rebuild, or at least made compatible for it?

Hey Seymour2012 will the old republic factions be added to the base mod once they're finished? I've never been able to get the addon to work
