"I just got through playing Shattered Worlds: War Torn in single player storyline mode. Whoa! The graphics, the ships, the enhancements, awesome!... [THIS] mod can go down as one of the best mods in Freelancer" - Richard Henderson
"Shattered Worlds: War-torn its the most amazing mod ever....!!!
Better than Discovery.." -Soham Ray
"All I have to say is Shwang!!!" -Fantom13
"I've been playing SP for the last couple of hours, and I must say... WOW! I'm just as blown away as I was pretty much this time last year, with the release of 1.2. I'm loving the experience..." -Illogical Lemon
"Love the graphics, and the new design of the whole thing..i must say totally new experiance.." -Razor Blade
"I've just played my first hour of SWWT SP. And I'm impressed, very impressed, with what you have done with the game. And that's just my opinion about the looks of the game and the feeling of the controls, I haven't even started to explore the rest of the mod.
Although I've finished vanilla two times before, I'm now really eager to play the game again before I go out there and try the MP." -Mr. Bombastique
"I play this mod last night in SP mode : AMAZING !!! Game Experience is enhance very well with this mod, and the storyline is much realistic" -Ezekiel Akira
"Only thing comes to mind- AWESOME! The hard work put into this new mod really shows. Thanks for making it public... " -Scarz
"The mod is great. I have finished SP. That was very nice experience. It is not so hard. Last time I did SP campaign years ago in disco 4.84, and if I remember well how it was, I must say your mod is easier but much more interesting and fun. Everything you need, you can loot during missions. NPC's are well balanced, guns are deadly enough. Fights are fast, game is much faster than vanilla. Missions are well payable. I didn't have to trade or mine to develop Trent to higher level. I fought only, all game time. Outlook of the game is great, of course compare to vanilla or other mods. " -xtyro
"one of THE best Freelancer mods I have ever played and have enjoyed the large amounts of graphical improvements the Devs have placed into this mod. " -Sansuske
"This is a major overhaul, the whole feel of the game is awesome. I love the ship reballance, no longer will everyone need to fly a very heavy fighter to be competitive. The mining system is a great idea. Over all a stella mod " -Aussie
"With the vets I've played along side and the newbies getting into it because of the mod, it is truly an amazing community and product. If you're looking for a mod that is simply amazing, I really recommend this mod. It's simply the best out there. " -bl4xb0x
"I'm a veteran of Freelancer. I've owned the game since it came out and sampled every major mod to be released. Shattered Worlds is in my opinion a triumph. Excellent balancing and ship additions make for a more varied scenery in combat, and the mining system is by far the best I've ever encountered. While adding a great many things to Freelancer, there's still a very strong presence of the original game which provides an excellent blend of the old and the new." -Tio Holtzmann
"I've played multiple MMO's and RP'd on several places, but this is by far one of the most immersive and dedicated Mods to Freelancer. To be honest the look feel and game-play don't actually make it feel like a Mod but the expansion to Freelancer. " -Serrated
"I would say that this is the best mod that has ever been released! Its balance is amazing, and it has very unique features in it. I give this server a 10/10! Funnest server I have ever played! " -MagmaStrike
"This mod is absolutely beautiful. The new graphic effects are stunning. And don't forget the balance system that is used so everyone has an even footing in the game. " -esskier
"This mod is easily one of the best, and most encompassing of all -- The balancing is done in such a way that making enemies even with the Rogues will have you fighting for your life, if you're not careful. " -JCDNWarrior
Nice. I am just missing my quote there :p
btw, can you provide us with links to PC Action and PC Gamer SW WT arcticles?
I can't install the mod. On the 1st screen of the installation wizard, the next button is greyed out, then a message pops up saying "Freelancer Prerequisite" then when I click ok, it then says "setup ended prematurely because of an error". And I do have Freelancer installed still
We're trying to track down the reason for this. It was tested on normal and unusual (multi-partition, multi-disk, and multi-os) setups. For some reason... people can not get to install despite the presence of Freelancer.
Until we make a fool proof installer, please check out the following link. It has a "workaround" for your issue.

thanks
@Bas,
As soon as I get the link from Snake I'll send you the one for PCGamer. We should be in the new issue of PC Action. They said they were putting the mod onto their cover DVD too. It's a German mag so you shouldn't have a problem finding it on the shelves near you.
WOW GERMAN MAG :D :D :D :DD :D : :D :D : :D:
Maybe I should even buy it for this simple reason xDDD
PC Action is the only good German mag anyway... I've got experience with that.
I'm playing the singleplayer at the moment and now I can't dock at Buffalo Base, it keeps saying 'access denied'.
EDIT: Nevermind, solved now.
Hey Nova2,
Glad the workaround fixed your "Freelancer Prerequisite" issue. How do you like the mod so far? Do you mind posting the solution for your Buffalo Base issue - in case someone else has the same problem?
Well, I'm not sure myself; at 1st I just kept cruising towards it and tried docking while the NPC's were mid-sentence, at which point it wouldn't let me. The next time, I just simply hung back and let them finish talking before approaching the base and it worked that time.
I suspect this is another inconsistency caused by the higher cruise speed, along with all the instances of NPC wingmen saying 'almost there' when we're already there.
Excellent mod as well. I just have 1 question: you've made an actual laser beam for mining, will that be weaponised at some point?
Oh, i forgot to mention: There's a problem with the ship dealer at every shipyard (at least at the few I visited in singleplayer anyway), whereby I go to the dealer, click on him, the menu pops but about a nanosecond later, it disappears, so i can't buy any ships on offer.
That is because those ship dealers are apart of long term planning by the team for additions later. We've added the ship dealer room, since there are no ships available at that time, the screen closes. This is more a multi-player thing than a single-player thing. In a way, it does come off as a bit unpolished, but from a growth aspect it makes it easier for the devs to add new ship content.
This will sound far-fetched, but is it possible to add hyperdrives to the mod? Because the trade lanes give off a sort of hyperspace effect.
That's my only major gripe with the game: The fact that, before settlement, humans had hyperdrive technology. The sleeper ships all had hyperdrives, you'd think that they'd preserve them after settlement and build interstellar ships but at some point they decided that it would be better to make all ships hopelessly dependent on jump gates instead. Perhaps you could add a story thread about hyperdrives being gradually re-introduced in case the Nomads decided to exploit the human jump gate dependency just as they did the Nomads hypergate dependency.
After all, hypothetically, if all the jump gates shut down and all the jump holes collapsed, where would we be?
Hyperdrive FTW it would be a fantastic addition to freelancer
That and decent capship weapons. The Hellbore cannons are aptly named I think because they certainly are a bore to behold; it looks like the capships are farting eachother to death. And am I the only one who thinks those other turrets shoot cotton ear buds?
It could be like Star Wars: Some high tech fighters/freighters or something with hyperdrive and some bad TIE-like ships without it...
Just kidding; Who would use jump gates then? And think of players flying into suns because of wrong coordinates...
any idea when capships will be made available again?
do you need flmm to install? or will it install on its own? I've had nothing but problems with flmm.
It will install on its own.
Went to your website for the fix. Thanks! Should have read that first. I wonder if there is a way for you to make part of the install program create a new folder called freelancer on the root part of the C:, instead of having to manually do it...anyway, installing the mod right now. I'll leave a comment about game play when I get a chance to play it.
Great, an absolutely cool Mod, thank you for the hard work, it is really fantastic!
What version of the game is this for?
What is the console for in SP??
i need help
in single player on the first missions as the Kusari pirates or whatever, when we had to hijack the transport carrying the proteus tome the transports always gets destroyed. is it because our cruise speed is about twice as fast as it is normally. Please help
