Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.

As this is only available by the Armoured Reserves Generals Power, and the GLA arsenal has evolved by at least 10 years since last we saw it (Deathstrike is no longer around for starters), I wouldn't expect it in Russian and GLA service at the same time if I were you. Far from it in fact. But yes, it is the same model which has been reskinned.

Massey, there's guessing, and then there's guessing...
You don't even know the GLA are going to HAVE an MBT at this point. What's the use speculating on what it's going to be based on?
(Though if you look at what you do know about the GLA, at least one of their weapons is much more modern than before, suggesting a Cold War design base, not freaking WWII.)

well i say Chirch hill's and t36-t55

chirchhill's went to the 60's and the t36 was a WW2 tank but its a starting point.
like t36 to(-) t55.

but u make a good point. maybe there is no MBT

Umm... Chirch hill? t36? Surely you mean the A22 Churchill? And I've never heard of the T36. (And neither has Wikipedia apparently...)

Second line recovery variants of the Churchill were not retired until 1975.

I don't know, it's just some visual thing; there's a V on the Buratino for Leang and a V on Kwai's BM as well.

The chevron icons are a common unit designator on armoured vehicles, but as NergiZed says, it didn't have a motive in mind when it was skinned. It's just there to look good.

The V is either always march forward. Or V is for victory!!! ^_^
Just my wild guess, everything has a meaning.

The Dragon for China function has the symbol of being aggressive. That's why at this present times no one will ever use that, so they use Panda instead of Dragon. Very symbolic......

Uh, It looks like a Scarab or a Kodiak.
Eye candy pls??

It is a Scarab. What more eye candy do you need? It's just a basic reserve tank, nothing special about it in the slightest. The whole idea is that it's a simple, solid and otherwise outdated unit called up to fight with no bells and whistles at all.

No chance unfortunately. Not only do they take place at different times, the engine can only support up to 15 sides with integrated AI, and SWR will never aim to end up with something that can be considered half-baked, as a side without AI in a final release would be. You can have both running in perfect tandem however, you just have to decide which one you want to play at any given time.

You say 15 factions is the limit, but what if you program an AI base general that thinks as a human and plays like a human. and then let it use th factions as if it's a human player.

wait a minute... now i get why you have to choose generals from the command center instead of before the game
clever ;)

The main reason for that selection process is that it is a homage to Alpha Generals. I don't know whether it alleviates the problem of AI slots being limited to 15; it might, but it might not. Also SWR will only switch games when they've completed all their current projects, not before.

It's a general's power unit. It's paradropped en mass, but empty. You can order a bunch of consripts into them and go swarm the enemy. They're not powerful, but they make good cannon fodder for your other units.

Description

The T-64 is the oldest tank in service in the Federation. They are used in the field primarily to boost the manpower of Russian forces and are treated like expendable assets. They arrive on the battlefield through means of paradrop and their crews are eager conscripts looking for protection inside the tank. The T-64 is to Russian armor what the Conscripts are for infantry. They are meant to be mere cannon fodder to draw attention of enemy fire from the more expensive and more battle suited Kodiaks.
