Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
The future is now, General.
There will be a stream this Saturday, 7PM Paris time on Maelstrom's channel: Twitch.tv
Youtube VODs: Youtube.com
Countdown to the stream: Rb.gy
Will there be new stuff to showcase O_O?
Usually when I post an announcement here, yea.

other mods "spamming massive amount of content and **** to win mod of the year"
ROTR: all I can do is a stream
ROTR wins again....
"all I can do is a stream"
Said stream showcasing live a massive amount of new or reworked content
You gotta admit though, streams aren't the most optimal medium for showcasing changes and additions specifically, gotta skim trough a lot of footage or watch live what could have been spoken in brevity.
You gotta admit, whatever way we choose to showcase the new content, people will find a way to complain.
bro its a joke, chill out.
and you guys will win, the joke itself is that ROTR doesn't even need to do much since they already are a great mod.
I mean other mods still have to do three times more to reach your level of quality but they still come under you.
if joking is considered criticism then I apologize for saying one.
Sorry, I didn't understand it was a joke.
If you followed the recent discussions, some people have unironically called us slackers despite our updates. And I thought you joined the dark side :P
As for winning this year, I doubt it. Many mods did awesome stuff. Like contra having a complete release
bruh, ROTR, Mental Omega and many other similar OG mods have remained the top 3 on Moddb for a decade since their releases.
Sure new stuff will come but they always take inspiration from what was great before and is great still now, also people will always want updates, they will always want new stuff but this only show how much they love the mod and want more of it.
Don't think of it as criticism, think of it as proof of your effort that has made them demand more of your content.
Thing is, I don't care about people criticising the mod, models or what not. It's all a matter of taste.
On the other hand, I am vert wary (maybe even too much) when it comes to something that could be taken as personal attacks towards the team.
ROTR has been in the honourable mentions for the past years, and this year we will probably end up there as well. But when 1.9 hits, then we will see how high we go :) 1.85 gave ROTR the second place in 2015
Tleno you are right, we have plenty of renders and thing prepared but its kinda difficult to find time to compile that into a proper update at times, hosting a stream is rather simple comparatively however.
New repair drone model!
Nope :P
It will be a laser drone
Are you sure about that ?
NEW THINGS ! CUMING
