Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
A shot of the upcoming UT-AT, making its way into Republic at War v1.2.
Nice job.
Nice job.
You rarely see this vehicle in anything. Looks awesome.
It's rarely seen because it's used for unstable terrain; in most causes an AT-TE can handle the job.
Will it be a semi-artillery like that 3 legged walking gun (At-Ap?) or a lighter tank like an AAT?
The UT-AT was a heavy assault and transport vehicle, made for areas where the AT-AT would be too vulnearble.Firepower is kinda the same
Just before someone questions this; he's correct about UT-AT being a Heavy assault vehicle/transport, but he meant the AT-TE not the AT-AT. The AT-AT was only experimentally used during the Battle of Jabiim, where the design was then abandoned - though later revived and improved by the Galactic Empire.
yeah sorry, I meant the AT-TE of course ;)
Yes but it is also called the Trident because of its tri-cannon mounts on both sides and top.
Unstable Terrain Artillery Transport if iam not wrong.
Should be a heavy but slow support vehicle with a long range and the Ability to transport Infantry.
But the AT designation is supposed to mean "all-terrain". What do you mean, unsuitable terrain (or was this a design flaw ironed out for the AT-AT?)?
All terrain only applies to the first part of the name...
UT - AT. Unstable Terrain Artillery Transport
AT - TE. All Terrain Tactical Enforcer
AT - AT. All Terrain Armoured Transport
yes, correct
Everyone needs to realize that the clone army in general was basically a prototype. Everything that they used in the GAR was eventually improved by the imperial army. AT-TE turn to the AT-AT after the design was improved. The Venator replaced with the Imperial Star Destroyer I. The trooper armor throughout the wars had been changed and improved.
Since the Republic hadn't been in a real war since the formation, they had a clean slate to build from. All which worked to the Emperors advantage.
Storm-trooper armor improved?! Lol. That's a funny joke their armor is thinner than the clones. You can see the difference.
yes in the movies stormtroopers look like a joke. but that is george lucas's fault. If you read the canonical books by authors like karen traviss or timothy zahn stormtroopers were actually the elite of the imperial army and they are a force to be reckoned with.
I agree the clone armor was actually more effective the katarn class armor and phase 2 armor could actually take hits and keep the trooper alive. Were as the stormtrooper armor did not do anything at all the blaster bolts went straight through it.
Well actually a lot of the vehicles used by the imperials were not that great compared to the republic counterparts the reason they switched over to new stuff was to distance themselves from the republic they once were as much as possible. As for the AT-AT that design was abandoned for a reason the legs were a huge structural weakness once rocket or well placed shot from a powerful cannon would cripple it beyond use. The general in charge of the project purposely ignored this weakness just to push out production of them a cadet brought the weakness to his attention and he kicked the cadet out and ignored his warnings. The cadet was later proved to be right during the battle of hoth the rebels used various methods to take down the AT-ATs by attacking the legs which cost the imperials 3-4 AT-ATs. The republic clone army built things for combat effectiveness while the imperials built weapons of terror designed to be scary not so much effective in combat. This is also proven when the galactic empire employs the same battle tactics that the CIS did during the war overwhelming numbers and also started treating the stormtroopers like droids and expendable.
U know that last War was just about 4000 Years ago? And the AT-AT wasnt an directly Improvement of the AT-TE it was an entire new Assault Transport seen as the Successor of the AT-TE.
The UT-AT has repulsors used to get over most obsticles and cross bridges that could collapse if other walkers walked on. It can be used to flatten enemy forces and deliver troops to the front lines.

and yeah the tank looks bloody gorgeous
PEW!
Fantastic!!
sweet
Niiice
Would we be getting At-Ot's?
The image makes the UT-AT look less wide than episode 3 depicts. Its supposed to be flatter.
Nice model, but it should still handle the polygon.
Awesome UT-AT. Nice job
An excellent tank, finally I'll be able to see what the UT-AT can do.
Anyways is it possible to increase the unit cap for land battles? We already have a unit cap of 50 for space battles (thank you) but only like a unit cap of 15 for land and those big assault units take up a lot of points for unit cap...
Is it just me, or is this the best mod ever? I think it's the best mod ever, but then, I am a hardcore clone wars era fan.
