Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

Thank you! There are five things i want to ask you about.
1. I have noticed that the droid gunship model doesnt have those badass red eyes modeled. Or is it just me?
2. Do you want to change the death animation for the super battle droids? The thing that bugs me is that the B1 droids seem tougher when they die. The B1 droid just falls down but the SBD just falls apart too much when destroyed.
3. I have told you before about this. You said it wasnt your job (as i understood it) but is it taken care of? The snail tank side tracks dont move.
4. Do you want to change/improve the OG-9 homing spider droid lazer animation (the big one at the top)? When the droid fires the beam look... how do i say it.. unstable? And the lazer itself doesnt come right from the weapon dish. Its kinda displaced. Maybe make the lazer just like the one the Clone Gunships have?
5. Do you want to put more hardpoints for the ship engines? I really like how the CIS medium carrier has 3 hardpoints for the engines (it has 3 engines) but the Lucrehulk has only one. The engines get destroyed too fast for a ship that big. Just put some more engine hardpoints for Rep and CIS ships?

P.S. When you put Count Dooku in your fleet he should be in some of your ships you have (strongest) for safety, not in a shuttle. Just like Nute Gunray. That way he will be less vulnerable for the CIS players. (Sry for the spam guys).

Anakin_SklavenWalker, here are some of my suggestions for Republic at War
Some of them being for the CIS

1. Super Tactical Droids, more costly then regular flied commanders.But they can give bonuses for both space and ground.
2. For ground battles, like General Grievous. Dooku having Magna Guards with him during ground battles.
3. How about making Droid gunships transports, being able to carry Super Battle droids into battle like in the show? Which would be useful for a CIS player.
4. Would you have the minor heros, like field commanders and space commanders return to the hero bar,(or other minor heros the team chooses)? I found it useful in the first Empire at War. Or is it a glitch, I only get.
5. Can you get intel for ground battles? If not, maybe give the CIS probe droids. And give the Republic something else. Or am I missing something.
6. I am curious how the coloring system works for AATs, sometimes they are CIS colors or Trade Federation colors. Is this normal?

I agree with the tactical droids and Super Tactical Droids. The Separatists WILL need a way to counter large numbers of Victory Star Destroyers and Imperator Class. They need membe the Providence mk2's (like trench's flagship) and the Devastation (sister ship of the malevolence, bigger, scarier looking, and armed with a super laser that could destroy a planet [thogh it would be useful if it coud be turned on enemy capital ships])! XD

Good ideas, I agree with the super laser more useful for destroying ships. I don't like destroying planets though, although as the Empire I destroyed Taris to get rid of all the Rakghouls. Did you know Rakghouls were made by the Sith?

The CIS could have lots of fighters and bombers, which you could use to destroy capital ships like the Rebels in the vanilla game. I have read that the CIS used fighters in swarms, and the Empire doesn't depend on fighters instead they depend on capital ships.
I would build more mark twos then the smaller ones.

Ya planet destruction is unnecessary and isn't truly clone wars style. Also, the CIS needs better fighters and bombers like the Scarabs and hyena bombers to counter the often overwhelming numbers of Republic fighters launched from the Venators. Another huge issue is point defense systems for the Confederacy's ships. Currently, the only one that actually has point defense is the Munificinet. However, the fire rate, range, and angles covered make it practically against Arc-170 bombers, as they usually attack in multiple squadrons and launch so many torpedoes that it can't possibly stop even half of them. The need to both increase the effectiveness of the point defense systems for the munificients, and put it on on another ship like the hammer picket or recuscant. Better yet, they should add a Missile Jamming ability to any build-able Confederate warship, that would be hugely helpful, or add it to Sabaoth bombers/fighters/defenders. Because Arc-170's in groups can be overwhelming. Also, note that Scarabs had shields, why would make them effective against the Arc-170's and tie fighters

Also, consider that maybe there might be a build limit for the number of Mark II's, same as there might be for ISD's. Also, hey are noticeable larger than an isd; an isd is 1 mile (1600 meters) in length, while the Providence MKII's are slightly over 2000 Meters long, and can very rapidly take down a Venators shields, but most IMPORTANTLY: the extremely long range foward- facing Turbolasers, which could balance the odds against Venators and even ISD's (as long as bombers take out the shields first, if u remember trench damaged the Venators and they couldn't even fire in TCW)

No, because too many missiles will allow it to overwhelm the point defense systems of the Munificients far too easily. If u fight against a fleet of 20 some victorie's, you'll understand where I'm coming from

I found out that the first Imperator-class vessel, the Exeutrix, was Tarkin's flagship during the Clone Wars and after, maybe his ship could be available at Tech 5 in other GC's than just the Fall of The Jedi GC. He could be a hero, Captain Tarkin perhaps?

Yes, during the civil war the Rebel Alliance used fighters and bombers against them for great effect.The Star Wars website says a Providence is longer then ISD, I didn't know that.

I think u mean the Mark II (trench's flagship, which was ******* massive). We need to be able to mass produce those and some kind of dedicated missile defense unit for space battles (the Munificient's point defense systems lack any good range, and only protect certain angles) we need a new point defense capable unit for the Confederate Navy for those hordes of Vic Destroyers

we are quiet ambitious to post some new pictures much more often so this is an update too.

I also have a few suggestions for Republic at war:

1. all infantry units for the republic and CIS should be individually controllable like the Delta Squad units?
2. Is it possible to make Jedi spawn with a Venator in space in conjunction with their Jedi Starfighters?
3. Jedi should lead a fighter squadron in space?
4. Anakin should lead a fighter squadron on ground levels because of his reputation as a pilot?
5. In the "Fall of the Jedi" campaign the Republic should have all it's units replaced with early imperial units like grey venators and stormtroopers and all CIS units should be replaced with rebellion units
6. All republic infantry units should be transported in acclamators in space.

And we made some more progress during this week. Our task list is shrinking from day to day. Not to mention it is shrinking by closing two tasks but creating a new one :)
There are still many left. Those are mainly divided into 1-10 minute fixes and some greater "hopefully just one day" tasks.

In these three new pictures you can see some visual content we have changed very lately.

Maybe a quiet minor thing here but we gave Tarkin in Fall of the Jedi GC his own ISD, so beside blocking you from retreating he will give you a "bit" firepower support.

As you also can see we are working on some textures. We have applied those player colors when playing in skirmish so it should be much easier now to determinate which ship is yours and which is under your allies command. At the moment we only have that for the Republic but Warb is already working of the CIS ships.

Last but not least we made a new version of those holograms. I spend this whole afternoon on them and i think they are gorgeous. Basically i reviewed the old one i showed you some time earlier and tweaked it quiet a lot. I did that because the old did not like i wanted them to have and they were very blurry.
