Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

Very interesting. I like the idea of older ships coming out of mothballs. It's only makes sense that there would be a lag from when the ship is retired to when it's stricken from the Republic Naval Registry. Especially if it's one of the larger more powerful ships.

The 4 Iowa Class Battleships didn't get struck from the US Naval Registry until recently, even though they were put in mothball in 1992. They were too powerful to dismiss too easily.

I could easily imagine these Invincible Class Dreadnoughts to have some decent firepower, despite being outdated.

I see where you're coming from, although there is a small but significant distinction to be made between a sword and a multi-kilometre long warship...

Can i just point out the Iowas are useless in modern combat?
Just a thought.
Would these ships suffer similar penalties, for example not being equipped for new tactics which ships use?

The image for the Invincible-class on Wookieepedia always made the ship look like crap, but this looks awesome. Is it a Warb model?

Hopefully, this shall be what we need to keep the CIS at bay while we try to tech-up to Venators. Acclamators just don't do the trick against a immense CIS fleet no matter the superior tactics.

I love the fact that in RAW we fight just like how Obi-Wan described it "It seems we can win every battle, but still lose the war." or something similar.

how big is this compared to a venator?

Reply Good karma Bad karma+1 vote
z3r0x Author

Its bigger.. the Venator is 1137 Meters while this is 2011 meters. So it will be almost double the size of the Venator or Providence.
