Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.
While we aim to please we made some adjustments to the cityscape on the planets surface.

Im not asking for it. But wouldnt it be awsome if you could have atmospheric and land battles at the same time? And calling reinforcements caused one of your larger ships to drop down and drop reinforcements? You could also use your artillery and gunships to attack the ships to.
yes just like the show no more units in seprate ships just like with fleet commaders
also can you be able the put commaders on tanks just like the show

Th question is then; where is the plane that the dreadnaughts are on? Because typically that is lower than the destroyer vessels. Or, thinking about it more, should they even be allowed in planetary combat?
yeah thats true we never even see this ships on the ground even. and then we would have to add some extreme AA canons for taking those things out
Looks really good, was already deeply impressed with the team but due to all the updates its giving this mod a really alive feeling. Cant wait for it to come, good luck making all us fans the happiest in the world!

You don't think they're showing us 1.3/1.4 features, right? So, the answer is YES. The map will be in 1.2, because v1.2 isn't even released yet.

Look, i'm not coming here to argue with you, or being a smartass, but since Taris isn't included in the 1.3 list, then it's logical to assume it will be in v1.2. And since it's not released to the public yet, there is no reason to think they're showing stuff for v1.3. Got it now? : )

Are ships going to come into play with the standard hyperspace animation? Im fairly sure it can be changed, but even then, only as a universal effect.

Also, talking about landscapes, some need to be cahnnged: a few ruins on Taris and some cities on Kuat. The vanilla Kuat makes no sense with the planet.

Just a perception: Not the all of capital ships can go to the atmosphere (like ISD), I hope you will do it according to this.

yea Ur right da last one that can pass the atmosphere was I think the Venator (Im not considering the Victory Destroyer cause I dont think it is considered a capital ship)
The Victory 1 can, but the Victory 2 cannot, because it's designed for ship to ship combat...
But for example about Lucrehulk I don't know nothing. The Lucrehulk core ship can operate in the atmosphere, but what's with Lucrehulk battleship (or droid carrier)? I think it hasn't got engines to atmosphere.
This close, there had better be no delay when calling a bombardment.
just blow up enemies ship and wait for the wreckage to crash on the surface , way more effective than bombardement if the ship is big enough !

Just thought of something anyone else tempted to call in the malevolence lol remember that's its lower than the other ships, hey that's another thing you can't hyper space into an atmosphere unless you want the planets atmosphere to be destroyed and its also an effective way to kill a captain and his crew you don't like to, since a miscalculation would make them crash HARD.

A Lucrehulk can't go to atmosphere. Only core-ships can. The ring is to big so it needs to stay in orbit around planet.
