Wars of the Firstborn is a modification based on the discontinued Ridder Clan Mod for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II and for The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-Earth II - The Rise of the Witch-King expansion, which focuses on bringing to life as much of the Elven world from Tolkien’s epic as possible.

A small update for the community. About progress, history and a small treat at the end.

Hello loyal fans of the mod!

I have came to realize the last real article was written more than a year ago and was just about celebrating Christmas and new year. The updates were more often than that but I feel there is a need for fans to get more than just some pics as update. As always, life is just full of surprises and keeps me busy.

So here I am. Lately I have been browsing the Revora forums and remembered where all of this began and how many mods and people influenced my work and my experiences in general. We have come a very long way, so long that some of memories came was a surprise, me 12 years ago was a bit dumb.

I have reached a point where there is nothing that can be shown, whether it is nothing visual or I don't want to spoil it yet (so in the release day you know everything that is to know). I really don't want to post numbers and wall of text with units, abilities, etc, I find that dull. I was thinking maybe an alpha view of the faction at the moment but there are still so many thing to assemble I don't want you to give the wrong impression. The progress of the mod had ups and downs but in any case progress is being made. Maybe when all of this is released some of you will understand why it took so long, or maybe not, it does not matter in the end as long as you like the mod. Ideas keep coming and I can't stop implementing them, I guess that's a good and bad thing?!

As I said at one point I will make some sort of developer diary videos, about how I did some of the stuff and why they look as they look (about the Mirkwood elves).

Anyhow, this is all for now but do enjoy this small video of the Mirkwood Archers setting some outpost.

Yup. That's the whole point, tho maybe an animation would make it more... obvious.
