Overview:
This is a team play mod created using the popular Source engine.
The completed mod will feature a range of environments due to the lack of constraints the storyline has, expect to see Jungles, Forests, Urban and post apocalytpic Urban environments. There will be two dynamic balanced teams, both with unique playing styles and large arsenals.
The mod will focus on "pick up and play" Playability for instant fun but for advanced players, use of tactics will bring many rewards.
Most FPS games today are all the same with the promise of veichles combat, huge battle-fields etc... While this is good, This sounds all too familar. So when we were thinking of the direction for the mod we thought we'd not follow the crowd. Instead of having vehicle and FPS action we decided to go back to some FPS roots. After all Counter-Strike is still one of the most played online games and it's gameplay is so simple. To that end our mod is open to all gamers who like easy, fun, fast games.
It has been a long time coming and we did consider changing the game engine to something that would work but with the update on the Source SDK from Valve our compiling problem that halted all mod development has been solved. Not only that but some of the alpha bugs have been fixed as well.
So now the obstacles that prevented us from a lot of progress have been removed we are now free to continue Project-Unknown. The main problem we have now is lack of staff, we are still trying to get hold of some of our members to recommence work.. Sorry MOD has been kind of inactive recently. Valve keep changing their code which in one sense is good. But when they change the code we have to rewrite everything. Quite annoying but there you go. Anyway MOD is in full swing once again after the latest update.
