Prison Island will take the player deep into the expanses of a huge prison built by a power hungry super-nation. Choosing their own style of game play, the player will be able to complete the storyline the way they see fit. With a variety of custom weapons, props and enemies prison island aims to immerse the player in an epic story.

if tables ae models, you can make them as a "prop_physocs_ovveride", then they are like a prop with physics
Actually they are meant to be static objects.
But they were not compiled with that allowstatic command
so Modifier had to use prop_dynamics for now ;)

I suggest using light beam and light spot for the lights and a dim dynamic light to keep the area around it dark, a layer of mist would be cool too to express the feeling of emptiness.
It isn't really empty or at least is not before the game begins.
So the idea was to make it look functioning and alive ;)
No reason for a dynamic light unless it's going to be moving.
We're going to use projectedtextures for dynamic lighting effects
(so they will drop dynamic shadows)
for example for searchlights and you can bet that there will be quite a bit of them in a prison hehe.
