To improve and expand on the first Photo Realistic Zone, my version, PRZ2 aims to cover the whole spectrum instead of structures and creatures. Each and every texture will be individually edited, not only sharpening them, but also improving their bumb and specular maps and creating whole new, higher resolution textures.

Very nice, Presumably the engine can create an environment where things have this level of quality/realism and still run okay or is that something your doing this in order to find out about?

At the moment implanting this vegetation into the engine would result in one thing;

Insufficient memory crashes.

Why? This leaf here is 4096x4096, pixel wise. This, plus according normals would murder the engine, to say it lightly. I'm still seeing wether implanting 1024x1024 textures + according 1024x1024 normals would be smart, because most people don't notice the difference.

I will test it in 4 'phases'. Namely

1; 2048 x 2048 diffuse + 2048 x 2048 normals
2; 1024 x 1024 diffuse + 1024 x 1024 normals
3; 512 x 512 diffuse + 1024 x 1024 normals
4; 512 x 512 diffuse + 512 x 512 normals

Ill report back what I think is best :)
