The mod story does not consider events in Half-Life 2:Episode 1. After explosion of citadel, G-man immerses Gordon Freeman in stasis, but after a while deduces it from there for the new mission. The target of this mission is penetration into a citadel which is in City 18 (the city located near to City 17). In this citadel there is a teleport in Combine world. Using this teleport, it is necessary to get in Combine World and to destroy their leader.

That was unexpected. I'll check it out this weekend. From what I see, it looks pretty good.

I'll be downloading it later tonight.

Can't download it either. It looks good, but I hope the AI usage is A LOT beter than his other mod on filefront. That was terrible. Especialy fighting a gunship without unlimited rockets, and too few rockets to kill it even if you are lucky enough not to them all shot down.

Is the new download site, if the FileFront isn't working. It's posted in the comments on the Moddb profile. I'm not sure if they know how to upload the file to Moddb, though.

AI usage is pretty good. In fact this is much harder than the original half-life2 as you have to think about keeping your ammo count low and finding new weapons without messing with the Combine too much. You can often outsmart them by letting them fight against zombies and I often got that rare HL2 feeling when I jumped up from my seat in surprise, because something happened roght in front of me and I only realized I was close to death when I got hit for the first time. This is a fakkin hard game and I think it brings the nicest elemnst from HL2 back into life, so well done m8! Incredible work in your silent way.

Hey that was pretty fun. A small, but reasonable variety of enemies and weapons. Health and ammo disribution was good (just sparse enough to keep me on edge).

Good quality mapping with a few minor niggles :
A tunnel you can drive though in one direction, but not the other (yes I tried to go back for more rockets).
A map tranistion that left me stuck in a console (the prop was probably too close to the transition area).
Crashed a couple of times during transitions (they worked OK when I reloaded a saved game).

The first gunship encouter was tough, prehaps a bit too tough for such an early stage of the game.

I thought the city part of the game was excellent.

Finaly got it downloaded. It's a little beter than his first mod, but not by a lot.
It's visualy pleasing, but the gameplay is PAINFUL. If you can live through this on medium without cheating, you are some kind of mutant. Don't even attempt hard.

Two things that came to mind the most:
No cover.
*ammunition depleted*

The introductory dock was fun. I couldn't beat the combine troops on hard without dying (no cover to dodge between, seems to be a theme), so I wrangled up all the slow zombies and used them as an army.

Big point: buggy without gravity gun is not good. It's squirrly as heck and easy to tip. I had to reload more than once because it flipped on a small edge.

The battle with the Gunship was my least favorite part. First, you have to deal with a group of combine infantry in an area with no cover from the gunship. The APC and the tiny rock don't count because you're basicly giving the combine soldiers free shots if you stand there. After many trys and a miricle (god mode), I still had to kill the Gunship. It has time to reload before your rocket reaches it, so you could spend hours trying to kill it. Best to just run. It's aparently foiled by the small mountain that you drive through.

The combine depot would have been more enjoyable if those crates that are meticously stacked around the very edges were placed as useful cover in the middle. On hard combine soldiers don't miss often, so you need somewhere to duck.

The city with the zombies would have been entertaining if they were shamblers and it wasn't as linear. Too many fast zombies, and I had no ammo to deal with them. To make things worse, the narrow playable areas are LITTERED with small physics objects that trip you while you're trying to dance with a crowbar and a fast zombie. Again, that might have been a fun game mechanic with shamblers: no ammo and stuff tripping you.

Other notes:
HDR is too 'hot' in outdoor areas.
Lots and lots of abandoned APCs.

The mapping itself was very visualy pleasing. Loved the docks. :)
